In a statement on her own website, in response to the article published on the Drudge Report regarding a clash within her staff on whether or not to bring Sarah Palin on the show, Oprah stated the following:
The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.

Viewers are quite angered, going to her website and boy are they letting it all hang out. Like many of them, I was once an admirer, but this is absolute politics and her using her power to promote only one person in this campaign.
Of all the replies to Oprah, this one is my favorite:
Doubt that she could make it after the campaign is over. She’ll be too busy being VP.

Are we honestly supposed to believe that there has been absolutely NO discussion in Harpo Studios ESPECIALLY since Palin’s historic speech that brought in 34 million viewers (and being aired on less networks than Obama’s)? If there hasn’t been, Winfrey ought to consider a new staff.
