Palin Remains the Most Hated

See, it’s issues like this that make me love Sarah Palin.

Last week, she received a blasting from liberals when indeed she turned down most of the chunk of stimulus from Washington D.C. for her state.  Liberals were not so happy about that.

Of course now that they won’t be able to label her a lover of pork in case she re-runs in 2012, they are accusing her of doing it strictly for political reasons.

Flash forward to today – she’s in the middle of another “ethics complaint” by someone who happens to be a crazy liberal blogger of course.  This time, for wearing Arctic Cat clothing at Todd’s snow mobiling events last year.  Palin responded like a real American would:

Yes, I wore Arctic Cat snow gear at an outdoor event, because it was cold outside, and by the way, today, I am wearing clothes bearing the names of Alaska artists, and a Glennallen Panthers basketball hoodie,” Palin said in the release. “I am a walking billboard for the team’s fundraiser! Should I expect to see an ethics charge for wearing these, or the Carhartts I wear to many public events? How much will this blogger’s asinine political grandstanding cost all of us in time and money?

The article which details the “concerns” of the big-government loving leftie is quite humoring.

Hey Sarah, it’s only taxpayer money right?  Perhaps you should get some of that stimulus afterall.

Philip, this is why our party cannot afford to “move on” from a political figure this priceless.  (Whose TV appearances alone still received more viewers than Obama’s inauguration).

The banner lives on!

  1. Does anyone else find it ironic that she turned down stimulus money, part of which goes to fund special needs education? Yeah, this isn’t political posturing at all. As governor, she was in charge of the state that had the highest per capita amount of pork in the nation. But it’s a different story now. Now that she laughably aspires to the highest office in the land, she’s all about belt tightening. What a phony.

I also thought I’d point out how hilariously ironic it is that Steve is in love with a socialist…

  2. I read the link but that article did not mention turning down stimulus money. It mentioned a snafu about a meeting over it.

“Does anyone else find it ironic that she turned down stimulus money, part of which goes to fund special needs education? ”

Well yeah. But what I find really ironic is this.

Alaska lives and dies by oil, fishing and tourism. Oil is probably the biggest tax revenue generator. There is no state income tax in Alaska.

Now, oil prices are down. But even in this recession we consume oil and Alaska gets revenue.

So why does Alaska need any stimulus money period? That I find ironic.

Maybe Gov. Palin is turning down the stimulus money because the state of Alaska doesn’t need it?

  3. “Now, oil prices are down. But even in this recession we consume oil and Alaska gets revenue.”

Which is why Sarah Palin is a socialist…

  4. “Does anyone else find it ironic that she turned down stimulus money, part of which goes to fund special needs education?”

As much as you try; Robert, to tie Sarah Palin to pork requested by the Alaskan Railroad, I find it hard to believe that you’re joining the rest of the liberals with disbelief that she turned it down.

As John says, Alaska is full of working Republicans. They don’t need federal money. That money is needed in the blue states anyway – but going further – no she is not required to make any deals with the devil (the feds) just because a tiny portion of galloping socialism may go to something that is near and dear to her heart.

Just because it’s near and dear to one’s heart does not mean you endorse theft of the American taxpayer to do it, but a nice try on your part.

This isn’t “Sophie’s Choice”, you never shoot two to keep one.

  5. “Which is why Sarah Palin is a socialist”

I’m glad we have you on record of admitting that socialism is a bad thing. Otherwise you wouldn’t be using it in the same sentence as “Sarah Palin.”

The oil in Alaska belongs to Alaska. She was genious in signing the contracts with Canada to get the pipelines going to help our overall economy in the lower 48 while Obama was off giving a speech or making an American-Idol video for terrorists in Iran.

  6. “I’m glad we have you on record of admitting that socialism is a bad thing. ”

Not that I’ve ever given my opinion one way or the other with regards to ACTUAL socialism, I merely bring it up to display your hypocrisy. For some reason, you think that letting tax cuts expire and having marginal rates go back to Clinton era rates is socialism (Eisenhower must have been the biggest socialist on the planet, by your measure of it), but when a sitting Governor skims money off the top of oil companies to dole out to every citizen who didn’t do a thing to earn it, it’s okay by you. It is, by definition, socialism, because the government of Alaska has control over the means of production of that oil. So, Steve, I’m glad we have you on record admitting that you approve of socialism. If this were any other state in the union (particularly one run by a democrat), you’d be shitting your pants over the exact same situation. I think you should just screw Palin and get it out of your system.

And as far as railroads go, the bottom line still stands. She had no problem taking pork for years, but ever since she was tapped by the McCain campaign, she parades herself around as some sort of crusader out to hunt pork, and sure, shoot at it from the safety of a helicopter.

  7. “…Obama was off giving a speech or making an American-Idol video for terrorists in Iran.”

I won’t hold my breath for you to chastise Israel for doing the exact same thing on the (I believe) exact same day. Hypocrite.

  8. “you think that letting tax cuts expire and having marginal rates go back to Clinton era rates is socialism”

Well, don’t hold your breath on that. If America was ready for change in 2008, just wait until we get to 2010….THEN 2012.

Yes it is socialism to suggest that higher taxes is patriotic. Especially when those increases cause the economy to continue to slump under this clown virtually damning its purpose anyway. When there is no income, there isn’t tax in case you haven’t fully grasped the concept of this “income tax” thing yet.

Robert, it will never work. It failed in Japan, it will fail here. Even if we wanted it to, it won’t. If there aren’t enough indians, you cannot possibly look to a big chief to tax. The big chiefs are now cutting back, letting indians go everywhere.

“I think you should just screw Palin and get it out of your system.”

Okay, not only will we get together to get you to grasp the concept of “income tax”, we’ll make it a double and explain homosexuality as well.

If a large group of folks; like Alaskan citizens, agree to contribute more through a vote, that’s fine. They did that and again the reason you’re trying to drag up old failed arguments from the past is because Palin is defying every one you accused her of before. And you’re pissed, understandably.

It was merely another “bridge to nowhere” that Palin had to kill.

  9. “I won’t hold my breath for you to chastise Israel for doing the exact same thing on the (I believe) exact same day. Hypocrite.”

Israel wasn’t blowing kisses and wetting their pants. Israel maintained that it will fight if she must. Obama on the other hand used his time to blame America and make friends with these people who couldn’t care less either way – how many times must you observe their response to him?

  10. “Yes it is socialism to suggest that higher taxes is patriotic”

Well, first, I didn’t say anything about patriotism. Second, do you just want to phase out taxes all together? Please say yes, so I can point out the fact that you’re a freeloader.

“Especially when those increases cause the economy to continue to slump under this clown virtually damning its purpose anyway”

Why don’t you go ahead and tell me one instance when raising taxes on anyone but the poor/middle class hurt the economy. Because the last time I checked, it only helped the economy in the long run. When Clinton raised the top tax rate from 32% to 39%, we ended up with a budget surplus. Flip that, your guy drops tax rates, and we have a trillion dollar deficit. You’re insane if you think tax cuts for the wealthy will do anything other than provide a very short term stimulus. All those tax cuts do is create bubble economies, and I’d like to think that we’re smarter than that now.

“When there is no income, there isn’t tax in case you haven’t fully grasped the concept of this “income tax” thing yet.”

Well, apparently you have yet to grasp the meaning of a MARGINAL tax rate. It only hits the rich, smart guy. You know, the people who can actually afford it…

“Robert, it will never work. It failed in Japan, it will fail here”

Um, Japan’s economy grew stagnant after monetarist polices like we’ve had for some time now. They relied just as heavily on their banking industry, and look what happened, a bubble economy.

“Okay, not only will we get together to get you to grasp the concept of “income tax”, we’ll make it a double and explain homosexuality as well.”

I guess you’re gonna have to, because you sure are ga-ga over that dummy for some odd reason. You think she’s the second coming of Reagan. You know, I think Chris Matthews had it right when he said that Republicans are always looking for a leader, and democrats want to have a meeting…

“the reason you’re trying to drag up old failed arguments from the past is because Palin is defying everyone you accused her of before. And you’re pissed, understandably”

Oh, Steve, that’s priceless. First, pissed is not the word I’d use to describe my feelings that she’s been banished to cold weather and fucked up accents, and second, you, for some reason, persist in dragging up failed candidates from the past. I just think it’s hilarious that you’re still clutching to her like she’s somebody special…

“It was merely another “bridge to nowhere” that Palin had to kill.”

You mean that bridge she ran her campaign on and continued to lobby for even after congress killed funding for it? That one?

  11. “Israel wasn’t blowing kisses and wetting their pants”

How do you figure? I would think that of all your tired rhetoric, you would have to come to the conclusion that reaching out to a country that wished to see Israel wiped off the map as doing just that. Like I said, hypocrite…

  12. “Well, first, I didn’t say anything about patriotism. Second, do you just want to phase out taxes all together? Please say yes, so I can point out the fact that you’re a freeloader. ”

I’ll be polite and simply say that you’re hardly in the position to do that. I support a fair tax, based on American consumption. But REAL freeloaders (or as I like to refer to them, “voters rounded up by ACORN”), would wind up actually paying taxes just as much as those who show up to work every day.

Regardless of your perspective on Japan, you cannot deny the fact that socialism did not work.

“You think she’s the second coming of Reagan.”

And you hate Reagan almost as much as you hate her, so you just double-confirmed why Palin is to be loved and admired. (Conservatives, are you reading?)

“You know, I think Chris Matthews had it right when he said that Republicans are always looking for a leader”

Chris Matthews was almost right. Most of the Republican base in America’s heartland are indians working long hours for their bosses. It’s simple ideals that illegal immigrants understand more than liberals do. If you want to be a chief someday, you have to pay your dues as an indian.

Democrats don’t have that type of spirit or talent. They want to be treated like numbers, and yes they can go to the meetings while the rest of us go to work and carry this country. But, they’re setting themselves up for massive sorrow because one day – coming soon in about three years or so, suddenly the American message will be “you just have to work hard.” As much as the liberals at the meetings (I’m certain loaded with government funded sponge cake, cookies, and soda) try to continue to deny that ancient American concept, it’s one that is unbreakable.

Obama is now making the same promises that Eva Peron made to the poor Argentinians from the balcony of the Casa Rosada and the same type of “look at me, it happened for me and it can happen for you, too!” speeches. We see how well that turned out.

Sarah Palin owned businesses, raised kids with one husband, worked her way up the actual American way – she worked and learned every step and enjoyed every part of that journey.

You; on the other hand, were probably with Chris Matthews at a meeting.

  13. “that she’s been banished to cold weather and fucked up accents”

    Are you serious?

The leaders of the Democratic party such as Arianna Huffington, George Soros, and the Marcos Moulitsas are first-generation-foreigners who still have not been able to formulate one sentence with decipherable English. (It’s about this time it would do you more good to call me a “racist” before trying to argue the validity of that point).

I like your definiton of “banished.” Now, would you tell the media to shut up and left-wing bloggers to stop spending taxpayer money on phony ethics concerns?

“You mean that bridge she ran her campaign on and continued to lobby for even after congress killed funding for it? That one?”

No, I meant the one that SHE killed before Biden and Obama continued to support it.

    Have you been drinking tonight?

  14. “I would think that of all your tired rhetoric, you would have to come to the conclusion that reaching out to a country that wished to see Israel wiped off the map as doing just that.”

I would like to think that the leader of Democracy would have the sack (like our last leader did) to continue to make the German Shepherd break eye contact first.

  15. “I’ll be polite and simply say that you’re hardly in the position to do that”

That’s funny, because I don’t remember making the argument that you did. You don’t like paying taxes, we get it. No one does. But, unlike most people you make this accusation against, you want it all for free. You don’t care how things are paid for, just as long as they’re not by you. You’re a freeloader. Try not to be offended by reality.

“I support a fair tax, based on American consumption”

Well, of course you do, because it’s anything but…

“Regardless of your perspective on Japan, you cannot deny the fact that socialism did not work.”

Hm,. Regardless of your perspective on reality, Japan was never socialist, which is more than I can say for Alaska. Funny how you’ve spent exactly zero seconds denying that fact.

“And you hate Reagan almost as much as you hate her, so you just double-confirmed why Palin is to be loved and admired. (Conservatives, are you reading?)”

Nah, I probably hate Reagan more. Aside from a systematic destruction of the middle class, what really gets my goat is that the man was a straight up sellout:

    Did you get that, conservatives?

“Democrats don’t have that type of spirit or talent. They want to be treated like numbers, and yes they can go to the meetings while the rest of us go to work and carry this country. But, they’re setting themselves up for massive sorrow because one day – coming soon in about three years or so, suddenly the American message will be “you just have to work hard.”

That’s always been the message, Steve. Please don’t pretend that it’s ever been anything but. And I don’t know where the hell you get off propping up phony straw men like “liberals don’t work”. Who the fuck do you think built this country? Who do you think worked in the steel mills and put Ford’s cars together? This notion that republicans carry this country is absolutely laughable. If that were the case, then republicans in Congress would never have fought against every worker protection you can think of. They would never be against labor unions, and they would never have had a problem with a 40 hour work week. You are so ass backwards that I really do pity you sometimes. Then I remember the insane ideas you espouse. One more thing: if this “day of reckoning” that “socialism” will bring us to, why is it that that moment never came in almost sixty years? Why didn’t a 90% top marginal tax rate lead to the chaos you predict? Easy, because you people are liars. It’s completely asinine to suggest that a 39% top marginal tax rate will somehow bring the country to its knees, but here you are, pushing it still. It’s frankly a little amazing…

“Sarah Palin owned businesses, raised kids with one husband, worked her way up the actual American way – she worked and learned every step and enjoyed every part of that journey.”

As opposed to what, Steve? How many thieves do you know that enjoy a prosperous retirement? I mean, besides the White House’s previous occupants…

“You; on the other hand, were probably with Chris Matthews at a meeting.”

Right, while you had your nose shoved up some republican’s ass like a lemming…

  16. “The leaders of the Democratic party such as Arianna Huffington, George Soros, and the Marcos Moulitsas are first-generation-foreigners who still have not been able to formulate one sentence with decipherable English. (It’s about this time it would do you more good to call me a “racist” before trying to argue the validity of that point).”

Markos doesn’t have an accent. Racist.

“I like your definiton of “banished.” Now, would you tell the media to shut up and left-wing bloggers to stop spending taxpayer money on phony ethics concerns?”

Sure. For the record, I think it’s totally unfair that that dumb bitch is filing complaints against that equally dumb bitch for wearing a coat. The media, though? Come on, she’s the one handing out interviews like Halloween candy. She wants the attention, it’s obvious.

“No, I meant the one that SHE killed before Biden and Obama continued to support it.

    Have you been drinking tonight?”

Not yet, but have you been rewriting history again, as usual? I believe the answer is yes…

  17. “I would like to think that the leader of Democracy would have the sack (like our last leader did) to continue to make the German Shepherd break eye contact first.”

Apaprently idiocy caused by years of slowly killing brain cells with massive amounts of alcohol is “sack” to you. Nice…

  18. “Who the fuck do you think built this country? Who do you think worked in the steel mills and put Ford’s cars together? This notion that republicans carry this country is absolutely laughable.”

I think Americans built this country. Back when FDR was President, one could make the argument that Democrats actually worked.

But, as my favorite 62-year old EX-Democrat friend once said:

“The Democratic Party has gone from representing the working man to representing the man who has to work.”

Plus I’m pretty sure the guy that built my car was a Republican. I have a sense about these things.

“They would never be against labor unions, and they would never have had a problem with a 40 hour work week.”

I bet a year ago, you’d have said the same thing about teacher’s unions BEFORE your Messiah came out against them. Hey, it was Bill Clinton who signed NAFTA. The bill that served labor unions what they had coming to them for decades, so leave my Republicans alone please.

Read more about Japanese Socialism, the influence of Europe, and its massive failure here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_fascism

  19. “Markos doesn’t have an accent. Racist.”

Yes, he does. Certainly one much thicker than that of an Alaskan.

“For the record, I think it’s totally unfair that that dumb bitch is filing complaints against that equally dumb bitch for wearing a coat.”

    Well, I’m glad. Fascist.

“Apaprently idiocy caused by years of slowly killing brain cells with massive amounts of alcohol is “sack” to you. Nice…”

Four glasses of Pinot Grigio after 12 hours of income tax preparation. I still got you to come back repeatedly.

  20. Governor Palin is the genuine article. An honorable woman who loves this country. She has my deep respect and admiration.

From now on, I’ll be voting *mostly* Libertarian again. But I’ll always cross the line to vote for folks like her.

  21. “but when a sitting Governor skims money off the top of oil companies to dole out to every citizen who didn’t do a thing to earn it, it’s okay by you. It is, by definition, socialism, because the government of Alaska has control over the means of production of that oil. ”

I got this off of Wikipedia when I researched The Alaska Permanent Fund:

“The Alaska Permanent Fund sets aside a certain share of oil revenues to continue benefiting current and all future generations of Alaskans. Many citizens also believed that the legislature too quickly and too inefficiently spent the $900 million bonus the state got in 1969 after leasing out the oil fields. This belief spurred a desire to put some oil revenues out of direct political control.”

I like the idea of people getting direct royalty payments off natural resources extraction. But to be fair, the more money you make the more royalty you should receive. If you don’t make any money then you should not get any money. That is where Alaskans screwed up big time.

  22. Wow. What a back and forth. Much of this could have been avoided if Herbert Hoover had sent in the tanks and soldiers to deal with the Hoovervilles and such. He did not do that and the legacy of his inaction haunts us all.

  23. “I think Americans built this country. Back when FDR was President, one could make the argument that Democrats actually worked.”

So, here we go again, democrats don’t work. Arguably, republicans don’t work, they just move money around in circles.

“Plus I’m pretty sure the guy that built my car was a Republican. I have a sense about these things.”

Why, does it have faulty brakes?

“I bet a year ago, you’d have said the same thing about teacher’s unions BEFORE your Messiah came out against them”

I’ll say the same thing about teachers unions now. See, unlike yourself, I don’t blindly follow politicians and agree with everything they do or say. It’s kind of like this projection you’re doing where you call Obama my messiah, knowing full well that the folks you idolize like Reagan and Palin, are your messiahs.

“Hey, it was Bill Clinton who signed NAFTA. The bill that served labor unions what they had coming to them for decades, so leave my Republicans alone please.”

Fuck your republicans, and fuck Clinton for caving in to those monsters. He did that far too many times for comfort. It’s why I laugh when you attempt to call Clinton a liberal. Just because someone’s a democrat doesn’t make them a liberal, and vice versa. Eisenhower was a republican, but he wasn’t what you would call today’s conservative. Perhaps if we had more Eisenhower Republicans, the country wouldn’t be so screwed.

“Four glasses of Pinot Grigio after 12 hours of income tax preparation. I still got you to come back repeatedly.”

Well, I’m glad you’re drunk, but I can’t be held responsible if you keep saying stupid things that need correcting…

  24. “Why, does it have faulty brakes?”

Nope, it’s a Lexus baby. Check the consumer reports on those. I’ll have this car until I’m 50.

“See, unlike yourself, I don’t blindly follow politicians”

But miraculously, you seem to show up only when certain ones are mentioned.

“Fuck your republicans, and fuck Clinton for caving in to those monsters.”

LOL, see what I mean? You know it’s funny -your classfication for Republicans as “monsters” still manages to outshine your brief disdain for a Clinton. It’s amazing, liberals use “Wall Street” to argue their cause when MORE Wall Street money is donated to their campaigns and when most of them support Democrat candidates. Joy Behar called Manhattan the “hot bed of liberalism” and miraculously ONE STREET in NYC that celebrated NAFTA as well is solely Republican?

“but I can’t be held responsible if you keep saying stupid things that need correcting”

You didn’t correct anything. Plus, I wasn’t “drunk.”

  25. “Nope, it’s a Lexus baby. Check the consumer reports on those. I’ll have this car until I’m 50.”

    Steve, I’m surprised you didn’t buy American. Although I guess I shouldn’t be…

“But miraculously, you seem to show up only when certain ones are mentioned.”

Oh, we both know that’s not true. It’s really quite amusing though, the power you try to give to that dolt Palin.

“You know it’s funny -your classfication for Republicans as “monsters” still manages to outshine your brief disdain for a Clinton”

Why is that funny? You people are, by and large, monsters. Conservatives more so than republicans. I think it’s important to make the distinction. You gleefully strip Americans of jobs that go to China, steal from the middle class to give to the rich, start illegal wars, and stomp on civil liberties while claiming to respect the constitution. I don’t see anything funny about that.

“It’s amazing, liberals use “Wall Street” to argue their cause when MORE Wall Street money is donated to their campaigns and when most of them support Democrat candidates.”

You think so? Prove it. If that were factually the case, which I’m sure it’s not, that would be a stab in the back, considering all the barriers conservatives tore down to placate the greed on Wall St.

  26. Isn’t it funny how republicans brag about the ratings on tv and radio? Lol.

Here’s a remedial math lesson, 20 million Limbaugh listeners is not a majority in a land of 300 million! lol

Also, Republicans seem to confuse Sarah Palin’s tv ratings as meaning she is popular lol now that’s a laugh. She gets ratings for being controversial. A kid hammering his groin with a jackhammer could achieve her “success” in ratings. I’ll determine what America thinks of her by the elections results and the polls, both of which spell bad news lol

  27. “She gets ratings for being controversial”

And for being dumber than a bag of door knobs. The only reason I tuned into the Biden/Palin “debate” (that would be like me debating a fourth grader) was because I assumed it would be a train wreck for her.

“A kid hammering his groin with a jackhammer could achieve her “success” in ratings”

    ahahahah!

  28. “20 million Limbaugh listeners is not a majority in a land of 300 million! lol”

Yet, it’s more than ANYONE on TV. More than “The View.” More than OPRAH!

If indeed liberal political hosts were successful, there would be no blathering about a fairness doctrine.

20 million consistent in a land of 300 million where countless choices are offered is massive and as I said, those many aren’t watching Oprah. Not even “Wheel of Fortune.”

“Also, Republicans seem to confuse Sarah Palin’s tv ratings as meaning she is popular lol now that’s a laugh.”

So then the same can be said of Obama across the globe by your estimation?

Liberals are the ones who seem to keep re-writing easy-to-understand concepts like “popularity.” See, part of being a conservative is that we use words and terms in their actual meaning, whereas “progressives” seem to think that the same 70 million who tuned into watching Sarah Palin’s VP debate were also simultaneously watching “Jackass” or “The Anna Nicole Smith Show.”

And as you use such “rational” thought to explain what is frightenly apparent to the eyes of socialists, you continue to support politicians wanting a fairness doctrine and use Obama’s mediocre win over McCain and describe is as a “landslide” just as you did when the Democrats couldn’t even pick up their historical odds in 2006 after 12 years of true Republican landslides in Congress (54 seats picked up in 1994 over guns and taxes alone, Bush defying historical odds the first midterm in 2002 when Republicans actually picked up seats in those Congressionals).

The fact is, while you call Sarah Palin “dumber than a bag of door knobs”, you’re more-than-willing to take an official-mediocre win and once again use your “progression” to re-define a “landslide.”

Facts are fun, kids. Especially when they aren’t on your side.

  29. “Steve, I’m surprised you didn’t buy American. Although I guess I shouldn’t be…”

Nope, I’m all for global competition. Lexus gives jobs to Americans, there are countless Lexus dealerships in this great land. Plus, I have it serviced at Lexus which employs mechanics.

If something built at GM had the longevity of Lexus, Lexus wouldn’t be #1 among quality across the board from everything to performance to engine life to safety.

Plus CPO deals are outstanding making it a great buy.

“Oh, we both know that’s not true. It’s really quite amusing though, the power you try to give to that dolt Palin.”

Well, liberals cannot seem to make up their minds about her. She’s either “stupid” and unworthy of attention or she’s interesting enough for her opposition to drop invesigators in Alaska to check out her child hood or for liberal bloggers to use taxpayer money to investigate why she wore a jacket.

Really, your problem should be more with liberals if you want to make the case that she’s unimportant or unpopular. I’m simply making fun of their hysteria.

“Why is that funny? You people are, by and large, monsters.”

And you people are actually kind of cute – especially when you’re cold, shivering, and afraid like the snot-dripping chick in the Blair Witch Project.

    “You think so? Prove it.”

Let’s see how many millions Obama gets from them THIS time. 🙂

  30. “Why is that funny? You people are, by and large, monsters. Conservatives more so than republicans. I think it’s important to make the distinction. ”

We are not more dangerous than the liberal minds that came up with the following social disasters:

    Affirmative Action,
    The Voting Rights Act
    School Integration
    Social Security

The above were all enacted with the best of intentions. Sadly they haven’t lived up to their goals nor come anywhere close to them.

  31. “If something built at GM had the longevity of Lexus, Lexus wouldn’t be #1 among quality across the board from everything to performance to engine life to safety.”

Speaking of GM. I saw a news tidbit last night. The CEO of GM stepped down and the Obama administration is demanding huge concessions from the unions.

Maybe GM will build something like a Lexus now that it appears GM will be run like a business and not the social welfare state it is.

  32. Reality check. The only reason republicans “defied historical odds” by picking up seats in Bush’s first midterm is because of 9/11, which was a game changer. It made people think with emotion and so they elected tough-talkers rather than thinkers.

“Mediocre”? lol. Nice use of the copy and paste from and Coulter’s web site Steve 😉 I wonder if I should tell you there’s a short cut for that…. oh the fun you would have! lol.

It was a landslide. When Bush won a lesser victory (the narrowest re-election in American history) you said it was because America is conservative, and yet when the Democrats win by a margin that is actually respectable, you undermine it and mock it.

Democrats controlled congress for about 60 years before 1994 Steve. Congrats on 12 out of 60! lol. Now that’s what I call…pathetic!

  33. “Democrats controlled congress for about 60 years before 1994 Steve. Congrats on 12 out of 60! lol. Now that’s what I call…pathetic!”

Tom you and I as well as other people know there is numerical control of the House and Senate and Ideological control too. Having the majority numbers does not mean having Idelological control.

There are Blue Dog Democrats who do not favor gun control laws, abortion rights, and other things that might label them conservatives. There are also Republicans who are pro choice and more moderate on certain issues vs. the Republican party’s official stance.

It’s more about ideology than numbers in my opinion.

  34. “Reality check. The only reason republicans “defied historical odds” by picking up seats in Bush’s first midterm is because of 9/11, which was a game changer.”

So, basically Tom, your clever arguments confirm the fact that Americans are more likely to trust Republicans with National Security or responses to a crisis.

Somewhere Howard Dean is screaming and begging for you to “shut up!” now.

““Mediocre”? lol. Nice use of the copy and paste from and Coulter’s web site Steve ”

Well, I’m glad to see your reading Ann Coulter! Are you one of those 20 million Rush listeners that still thinks he’s unpopular? How clever of you! LOL.

But “mediocre” is indeed a word used by many.

    “It was a landslide.”

Reagan’s was a landslide. Both of them. Less than 10 points overall IS NOT a landslide.

“Democrats controlled congress for about 60 years before 1994 Steve.”

And as I said to Robert, for the majority of those 60 years, Democrats were not led by tree-huggers and first-generation foreigners who immediately start bashing America the minute they step off the boat like Arianna Huffington or George Soros. There were indeed a few real-American working folks among the crowd and slowly folks are realizing that they are not voting for FDR anymore. This is why your wins are mediocre now. In what should have been a blowout for historical odds, you squandered your turn and gambled for the biggest and craziest socialist available. Moreover; your blowout in 2006 never occured either.

Repubicans couldn’t keep winning everything over and over again. This is just a trial period to see what that other party has been up to ideologically. Now we know, as Robert says, you’ve all been at meetings while the rest of us have been at work.

  35. “If indeed liberal political hosts were successful, there would be no blathering about a fairness doctrine”

So I suppose helping to elect the first African American president who happens to be a democrat just constitutes failure to you, right? I’ve asked this question before and no con has been able to answer it, and that is, what are you so afraid of? Why does presenting all sides of an issue scare the pants off of you? I believe the answer was the same given for a different question: easy, you people are liars. All the Limbaugh’s and the Hannity’s, the Ingraham’s and the Malkin’s couldn’t crank out enough lies to help you “win” an election. I think the intelligence of the American people is success enough…

“20 million consistent in a land of 300 million where countless choices are offered is massive and as I said, those many aren’t watching Oprah. Not even “Wheel of Fortune.”

Steve, would it kill you to be honest, just once? More people do not listen to Limbaugh than watch Oprah. This 20 million figure you like to throw out, it’s PER WEEK. It’s never been more than five million at any given time. Oprah, on the other hand, has 7.4 million viewers, PER DAY. So while druggie Limbaugh’s ratings are impressive, let’s not be disingenuous about his popularity in contrast with other’s…

“So then the same can be said of Obama across the globe by your estimation?”

Not even close. You see, tuning in to a debate, ONCE, to see a person you’ve never even heard of, who’s been picked as a VP nominee, does not auger well for future success. You know how many TV shows get cancelled after one season or even during the first? People initially tune in out of curiosity, and eventually (sooner rather than later), they realize that what they’re seeing has become stale and boring, and in Palin’s case, dumb. Vanilla Ice’s first record sold millions; believe it or not, he still makes music, only now his crap can be found in the $3.99 bin at your local car wash…

“And as you use such “rational” thought to explain what is frightenly [sic] apparent to the eyes of socialists, you continue to support politicians wanting a fairness doctrine”

Right, while you drool over the governor of the only (by definition) socialist state in the union. Don’t you just love irony? And again with the fairness doctrine. You claimed to be a supporter of global competition, yet you’ll have none of it when it comes to talk radio. You, sir, are a hypocrite. Apparently actual competition makes you soil your undies. It’s understandable. You guys are all out of ideas, and you’re certainly morally bankrupt. You need your lies, it’s all you’ve got left. And as Tom mentioned earlier, that’s pathetic…

“Obama’s mediocre win over McCain and describe is as a “landslide”

Kind of how Bush “won” re-election in 2004 by a hair and you morons called it a mandate? Only a con can take losing by 8 million (the actual number is probably somewhere around 14 million) votes, a full 7 percentage points, and call that mediocre, and then have the temerity to label this a “center-right” country! Man, are you desperate…

“Facts are fun, kids. Especially when they aren’t on your side.”

I know, it’s why you try so hard. And God bless you for trying…

  36. “Nope, I’m all for global competition. Lexus gives jobs to Americans, there are countless Lexus dealerships in this great land. Plus, I have it serviced at Lexus which employs mechanics.”

And where exactly do you think that profit goes? Sure it tosses a few bucks this country’s way, but that profit is what allows them to grow and open more plants, putting more American companies out of business. But, you’re totally cool with that…

“She’s either “stupid” and unworthy of attention or she’s interesting enough for her opposition to drop invesigators [sic] in Alaska to check out her child hood”

And who sent throngs of people to the four corners of the earth, trying to find Obama’s “real” birth place? Please, you jackals are still clinging to the idiotic notion that a judge will hear your wild eyed conspiracy theories about phony birth certificates….

“Really, your problem should be more with liberals if you want to make the case that she’s unimportant or unpopular”

She’s incredibly unpopular with not only those of us rooted in reality, but even by those in her own home state. Remember that 1,500 strong, all woman protest she received up there? Yeah, the “liberal” media forgot to cover that…

  37. Well Steve, how do you define popular? I guess by radio standards he is, but u don’t know how many people hate him as well. A poll showed recently that most Americans have an unfavorable view of him, particularly women. Btw, women are the majority in case you didn’t know ^^

I can’t believe how amazing it is that a Bush supporter is talking about mediocre vicroties lol. Bush couldn’t even win the popular vote!! He had all the advantages in the world…

-8 years of the whitehouse being controlled by an opposing party, making the electorate naturally tilt to his side for a little change

-Al Gore’s incredibly dull personality and lack of charisma

-and Ralph Nader’s spoiler effect in siphoning off Gore’s votes.

To think, despite ALLLL of these godsent advantages, he was STILL outvoted by the American public! America, despite all odds chose the uncharismatic continuation of 8 previous years, THAT’S unprecedented!

Of course the electoral college than overturned that, do you know what it’s called when someone loses the popular vote but wins because of the electoral college? A TECHNICALITY! lol

And TO THINK, you make fun of CLINTON just for not winning a MAJORITY LMFAO

Clinton’s second win was very impressive considering the wealth of the third-party candidate. Nobody could’ve won a majority in that case. Trust me, if there was an option in the 80’s other than Carter or Mondale who PROMISED to raise taxes, Reagan would never have won his precious “landslide” lol 😉

In conclusion, Bush’s victories defied historical precedent but only in terms of how comically pathetic they were. I’m still amazed that DESPITE Gore’s lack of charisma, history being against him, and Nader siphoning off votes, he STILL got more votes than Bush! lol. And then Bush went on to defeat Kerry in the narrowest re-election in American history. Now THAT’S pathetic! lol

Also, you’re not counting how many people hate Rush Limbaugh. I don’t care about his “20 million strong” audience, whom btw only listen for 11 minutes LOL. All that says is that Republicans have nothing better to do that sit around and listen to the radio. Congrats! lol

You measure America’s believe by radio ratings, I’ll measure it by elections results.

  38. “We are not more dangerous than the liberal minds that came up with the following social disasters:

    Affirmative Action,
    The Voting Rights Act
    School Integration
    Social Security”

So, apparently policies that aren’t racist are dangerous, and insurance policies for orphans and widowers are just a terrible thing. Oh no, we wouldn’t blacks to vote, or go to school with whites! I think this is a good overview of the “conscience” of a conservative….

  39. “Now we know, as Robert says, you’ve all been at meetings while the rest of us have been at work.”

No, no. I said while you have your nose shoved up some republican’s ass like a lemming, instead of thinking for yourself and promoting the exchange of ideas…

  40. “So I suppose helping to elect the first African American president who happens to be a democrat just constitutes failure to you, right?”

Correction: he was HALF African American. 100% African Americans like Clarence Thomas or Condi Rice are promoted by Republicans, thank you very much. And his electability was a combination of the fact that Republicans won everything for 12 years (should have been a landslide), Democrats finally admitted a national hate for Hillary (should have been a landslide), and John Edwards backed off after his wife called Ann Coulter a big meanie while Johnny boy himself was boinking another woman. The fact is, with all in his corner, the amount spent on a campaign, the hate for Hillary, the alleged “crave” for change – he couldn’t even win with an impressive point-lead margin over McCain.

And yes, did you hear? “Obama was the first African American to order a ham sandwich from the White House kitchen late at night!” (LOL, that one was indeed a direct quote from Ann Coulter).

“More people do not listen to Limbaugh than watch Oprah.”

Yes they absolutely do. The same 7.4 million are watching everyday, Rob. That means 7.4 million a week. That does not mean 37 million watchers a week – OTHERWISE SHE’D SAY THAT. Rush has MORE listeners than Oprah has viewers, EVERYBODY including Oprah knows that.

“You see, tuning in to a debate, ONCE, to see a person you’ve never even heard of, who’s been picked as a VP nominee, does not auger well for future success.”

Actually, if the entire world had already made up their mind based on the SNL impressions that came before that, then your argument is 100% canceled out. 70 million viewers, why I do believe that’s more than Oprah, too!

More than Obama’s inauguration. MORE THAN ANY NEW VP IN HISTORY. Hell even more than Reagan’s inauguration which is much more than Obama’s.

And how about the size of her rallies? Was that mere coincidence, too?

“Vanilla Ice’s first record sold millions; believe it or not”

If Palin were comparable to Vanilla Ice, “Ice Ice Baby” would have been her speech at the RNC. But again, yell at your Democrats who keep stalking her.

“Only a con can take losing by 8 million (the actual number is probably somewhere around 14 million) votes, a full 7 percentage points”

In 2004, Bush winning by one hair was impressive Robert. By that time, we had kicked your butt on everything else beforehand. 7 points after one term of Republican rule MIGHT be considered “impressive.” But 7 points after 12 years of Republican slaughter aint much.

Say didn’t Reagan beat Carter after only one term? I forget, how many points was that one by again?

“I know, it’s why you try so hard. And God bless you for trying”

No problem, I’ll just do ALL the work and make ALL the sense. 😉

  41. “And where exactly do you think that profit goes? Sure it tosses a few bucks this country’s way, but that profit is what allows them to grow and open more plants, putting more American companies out of business. But, you’re totally cool with that…”

I’m totally cool with global competition. Those Lexus franchises are indeed taxed as American corporations – they are all separately owned with franchise fees paid into Lexus International. The point is, Americans are working. Plus, if Americans want me to buy one fo their cars, tell one of them union regulated fellas over at Ford making more money than someone with a Master’s Degree to actuall build a car that lives up to the standards. My bottom line is better, I know people who own Lexus models from the early 90’s with 300,000 – 400,000 miles on the engine and they still use it as their primary vehicle. They paid a little extra in the beginning, but 15-20 years of driving is quite impressive.

“And who sent throngs of people to the four corners of the earth, trying to find Obama’s “real” birth place?”

It wasn’t Sarah Palin, not John McCain, not Fox News and no mainstream Republican on the air. You cannot blame Republicans for radicals. The only reason we associate radicals with liberals is that the liberals like Olbermann, Maddow, Obama, etc. always manage to agree with the crazies on your side of the fence.

“She’s incredibly unpopular with not only those of us rooted in reality, but even by those in her own home state.”

Yes, but I got you to talk about you didn’t I? To which you seem so quick with on-the-tip-of-your-tongue analysis of her.

Thanks for proving that point right here at gayconservative.org. I’ll mark my notes.

  42. “No, no. I said while you have your nose shoved up some republican’s ass like a lemming, instead of thinking for yourself and promoting the exchange of ideas…”

I was merely quoting your quote of Chris Matthews. Pull the panties out a little, you’ll feel much better.

  43. Steve, did you read my post detailing point-by-point why Bush’s election was the most humiliatingly pathetic victory in political history?

    Let me explain it again….

he had every advantage on his side…

-History(8 years opposing party’s rule in WhiteHouse

    -Gore’s lack of Charsima

    -Nader siphoning off votes

-Gore kicking Clinton off the campaign

Despite all of these tremendous advantages, he still lost the battle for the public’s support, as shown by the results of the popular vote (hint: he din’t win it 😉 ”

Bush’s “mandate for conservatism” was based on a technicality, the electoral college overturning the voice of the American people. That’s called a retard’s victory. It’s called an error. It’s ashame your party has such humiliation on its shoulders, but I’m enjoying it lol. And what’s amazing is that Sean Hannity is BRAGGING about this”impressive” “mandate” or “rebuke of the Clinton administration” LOL

Somewhere, Ann Coulter’s empty head is exploding reading this^^

  44. “he had every advantage on his side…”

Wrong, he had 6 years of a Republican congress that converted Clinton. Ask Robert, Clinton did a lot of Republican things that made the country operate well because Newt basically led the show.

    “Gore’s lack of Charsima”

Was Bush performing at the ballet?

“he still lost the battle for the public’s support, as shown by the results of the popular vote ”

Like I said, any victory considering the stealth of Republican sweeps in Congress was impressive. Obama failed to meet the gains.

Again, what was the point advantage Reagan won by after only 4 years of Carter?

  45. “Correction: he was HALF African American”

How is someone with an African father and an American mother only half African American? Those people you named are the ones who aren’t fully African American. How many generations have Condi’s family been here? Your argument is idiotic, and demonstrably false to anyone who can read.

“The same 7.4 million are watching everyday, Rob. That means 7.4 million a week. That does not mean 37 million watchers a week”

That is precisely what it means. You’re trying to tell us that 7.4 million viewers PER DAY actually means 7.4 million viewers PER WEEK? Are you high? It’s already been established that Rush has no more than five million listeners per day (good God, that’s a lot of stupid people), so if you want to go by weeks, sure Rush has 20 million, but Oprah’s got 38.5 million…

“Actually, if the entire world had already made up their mind based on the SNL impressions that came before that, then your argument is 100% canceled out. 70 million viewers, why I do believe that’s more than Oprah, too!”

Again, it happened ONCE. Get over it, man. If she were half as popular as you try to convince everyone she was, she would have been elected, now wouldn’t she?

“And how about the size of her rallies? Was that mere coincidence, too?”

You mean the lynch mobs? They never grew to more than 8,000. How is that impressive? Of course, the McCain campaign said it was 2,300, but they lied.

“If Palin were comparable to Vanilla Ice, “Ice Ice Baby” would have been her speech at the RNC. But again, yell at your Democrats who keep stalking her”

No one is stalking her, you monkey! Don’t you realize that you’re the only one who keeps bringing her up? You’re the last one left flogging this dead horse! Phillip doesn’t do it, Mel doesn’t do it. Every time I see a post about Palin, I don’t even have to scroll to the bottom to know it says ‘posted by Steve’. You are the only person who gives a shit about her, Steve. It’s sad, but know that it’s true.

“In 2004, Bush winning by one hair was impressive Robert. By that time, we had kicked your butt on everything else beforehand”

Oh really? So, losing the popular vote and having to sue your opponent, knowing your dad’s friends on the Supreme Court will subvert democracy for you and just install you as the president is “kicking butt”. Oh, bravo! And committing acts of terror to get Congress to vote your way is “kicking butt”. Man, you people sure can kick some ass…

“7 points after one term of Republican rule MIGHT be considered “impressive.” But 7 points after 12 years of Republican slaughter aint much.”

Then you’re an idiot. Because the previous two presidential elections held a, what, two point lead, and a negative point lead. You were obviously impressed by that, so Obama’s victory should have floored you.

“No problem, I’ll just do ALL the work and make ALL the sense.”

Hey, even bizarro world is normal to those who live in it…

  46. “I’m totally cool with global competition”

It’ll be the death of you. So have fun.

“Plus, if Americans want me to buy one fo their cars, tell one of them union regulated fellas over at Ford making more money than someone with a Master’s Degree to actuall build a car that lives up to the standards.”

Are you stupid, Steve? Really? Because I’d like to believe you’re not. So, if you know anyone with a Master’s degree making $35 an hour, they’re being raped. And I realize there is still quite a huge stigma around domestic autos, but in reality, they have vastly improved over the last decade or so. Check the consumer reports, they’ll tell you that American made is built just as well as foreign made, and in some areas, they’re better. Out of the top five most reliable car makers, three are American.

“You cannot blame Republicans for radicals”

Why not, you do it with liberals. The fact of the matter is, these days, “radical” and “republican” are synonymous.

“Yes, but I got you to talk about you didn’t I?”

You got me to talk about myself?

“Thanks for proving that point right here at gayconservative.org”

    What point is that?

  47. “Again, what was the point advantage Reagan won by after only 4 years of Carter?”

Again, what year is it NOW? Just like a con, clinging to faded glory…

  48. “Affirmative Action,
    The Voting Rights Act
    School Integration
    Social Security”

So, apparently policies that aren’t racist are dangerous, and insurance policies for orphans and widowers are just a terrible thing. Oh no, we wouldn’t blacks to vote, or go to school with whites! I think this is a good overview of the “conscience” of a conservative….”

    LOL.

Affirmative Action – let’s reward individuals who have never been discriminated against and punish individuals who have never discriminated. That makes a lot of sense. If someone discriminates against you then the remedy is a civil suit in a court of law.

The Voting Rights Act – after the Civil War black people had the right to vote. The law wasn’t needed. If someone denies you the right to vote then take them to court.

School Integration – step one, force intengration. Step two, watch the white people flee to suburbs and private schools. Step three, ask why your public schools are still segregated. The solution was equal funding per pupil. You don’t get smarter by sitting next to a genius.

Social Security – it would be great if it only covered widows, orphans, and old people. But it does not. Social Security is the only insurance plan I know of where you can get benefits without paying in one penny.

There four social experiments are a great example of great liberal intentions that have horribly backfired.

  49. “Affirmative Action – let’s reward individuals who have never been discriminated against and punish individuals who have never discriminated. That makes a lot of sense. If someone discriminates against you then the remedy is a civil suit in a court of law.”

Are you really trying to tell us that minorities have never been discriminated against in this country? Do you live in a freaking cave? It would make sense that a civil suit would be the way to go, but the burden of proof would be on the plaintiff, and it’s been my observation that racism is alive and well AND institutionalized. Affirmative action, while it may have outlived its usefulness, was an effective tool for battling discrimination.

“The Voting Rights Act – after the Civil War black people had the right to vote. The law wasn’t needed. If someone denies you the right to vote then take them to court.”

Okay, here you are with your remedies of a flawed court system. Voter intimidation and discrimination were perfectly legal too. Did you really expect a court that didn’t recognize the civil rights of blacks to uphold justice in their cases? And do I need to remind you that conservatives are constantly trying to undo the effects of the Voting Rights Act? Hell, even the 109th Congress talked about not renewing it…

“School Integration – step one, force intengration [sic]. Step two, watch the white people flee to suburbs and private schools. Step three, ask why your public schools are still segregated. The solution was equal funding per pupil. You don’t get smarter by sitting next to a genius”

And apparently, you don’t become less of a racist by integrating yourself with other cultures. This type of garbage is exactly why conservatives make me fucking sick. You people know damn well that you’re racist and hateful, but rest assured, I’ll get some phony whitewashed answer as to why you don’t think you’re racist. I don’t know who your contrived answer will be intended to convince – me or you…

“Social Security – it would be great if it only covered widows, orphans, and old people. But it does not. Social Security is the only insurance plan I know of where you can get benefits without paying in one penny.”

Really? Try talking to someone with kids. Kids who are on their parent’s insurance get benefits without paying in a penny. And the only people who benefit without paying are widows collecting their dead husband’s checks (which they paid into) and the orphans, obviously. But you seem to have no problem with the fact that immigrants can pay into it all day and never receive the benefits. I wish to God that you cons could live just one day like an actual human being, where shit happens and you would need the social safety nets that were designed to keep people from falling through the cracks. You people always hate the government – until you need it. When your fucking house is on fire, you love government. When you need the court system to enforce a contract, you love government. And of course, when the government creates a war out of thin air based on lies in order to kill brown people, you love the government. I am so fucking happy that the American people pried all your collective grubby mitts off of government, but perhaps you can do us all a favor and stay in obscurity for a few more decade. The country can really do without your horrible and regressive ideas…

  50. “How is someone with an African father and an American mother only half African American? Those people you named are the ones who aren’t fully African American.”

Barack Obama is not 100% ethically African American. Pull out a family photo of Barack with mom and pop and allow me to pull one out of Condi’s mom and pop and we’ll take a poll on that gladly.

Hey, we have another “first” though!

“The first African American to be half African American and given credit to be full African American.”

“That is precisely what it means. You’re trying to tell us that 7.4 million viewers PER DAY actually means 7.4 million viewers PER WEEK? Are you high? It’s already been established that Rush has no more than five million listeners per day (good God, that’s a lot of stupid people), so if you want to go by weeks, sure Rush has 20 million, but Oprah’s got 38.5 million…”

Do the daily 7.4 million take breaks? The first 7.4 million say “well, we watched Oprah on Monday now it’s the other 7.4 million’s turn!” LOL. For the last time, Oprah does NOT have 38.5 million viewers a week (38.5 INDIVIDUAL VIEWERS), and pales in comparison to Rush Limbaugh’s 20 million (20 MILLION INDIVIDUAL LISTENERS). Everyone knows that nobody on TV comes anywhere close to Limbaugh’s audience.

“If she were half as popular as you try to convince everyone she was, she would have been elected”

Actually, she’s responsible for the mediocre close-race for McCain. John McCain lost that election, not Sarah Palin. Again – 70 million viewers….Obama’s inauguration 40 million.

“No one is stalking her, you monkey! Don’t you realize that you’re the only one who keeps bringing her up? You’re the last one left flogging this dead horse! Phillip doesn’t do it, Mel doesn’t do it.”

First, I would have nothing to say on her IF YOUR LIBERALS wouldn’t be spending time attacking her. YOUR LIBERALS are the ones frightened with the large chance that she will run again. I have respected differences with Phil and Mel….I have not seen a single person since Reagan draw such crowds, get such INSTANT media reaction, and get liberals to start pretending they care about ethics.

Bobby Jindal is great but doesn’t come close.

Bush was okay, but didn’t have her ability to communicate and brilliantly as she does.

The night she was announced, the deadbag RNC and McCain’s camp raised more money in that single night that they had prior. It was the Sarah signings, the Sarah events, the Sarah appearances that got the attention. Americans connect with her because she’s still a Washington outsider and portrays the life of a real American with a real American family to back it up.

She’ll be back again, and you’ll be right here screaming about her – especially when the nation will be ready for “change” again.

If my co-authors disagree with me, so be it. But until one more conservative comes along that gets you to write as much as you do on her, she’s the only one who comes close to getting my support.

“Oh really? So, losing the popular vote and having to sue your opponent, knowing your dad’s friends on the Supreme Court will subvert democracy for you and just install you as the president is “kicking butt”. ”

Actually it was the Democrats who had it re-counted 50,000 times and selectively choosing which counties as they did in Minnesota. May I remind you, Hillary won the popular vote over Obama in the primary. Not sure where you were back then.

“Then you’re an idiot. Because the previous two presidential elections held a, what, two point lead, and a negative point lead.”

Actually, because we had already slaughtered the Dems in 1994 with a 54-seat pick up, we had persuaded Clinton to sign NAFTA beforehand and move forward basically forcing him to sell out every special interest group (with exception to the abortion ladies). Of course, he was a horny hick who grossed out the country but he was not near the kook Carter was or Obama is. If he had been, Bush’s takeover would have been much more Reaganesque. Clinton was a true moderate aside from taxes and abortion – but he didn’t let lazy folks get away with not working, signed the Republican-endorsed welfare reform Bill that Jimmy Carter’s (ahem, I mean Obama’s) stimulus plan to overriding, and actually worked with his opposing party in Congress. So the election’s results between Gore’s VP experience and Clinton’s centrist positions were great proof that Americans are indeed more representative of conservatives. This election on the other hand was more representative of ACORN and those fixated on Obama’s race – even though he’s only half of it. There was no substance to it. They wanted “change.” But as I said before, the crackheads from ACORN were disappointed when they found out the “change” didn’t come out of pockets in the form of quarters, dimes, and nickels.

“It’ll be the death of you. So have fun.”

Ah, an isolationist, next thing I know you’ll stump for Ron Paul. Hey, will you help us build that wall and put up the signs that say “no Trespassing” in Spanish and Arabic at the borders?

“Are you stupid, Steve? Really? Because I’d like to believe you’re not. So, if you know anyone with a Master’s degree making $35 an hour, they’re being raped.”

Are you kidding? Do you know how many with MBA’s are out of a job or have to take “MBA” off their resume to even get a damn call for an interview?

“Check the consumer reports, they’ll tell you that American made is built just as well as foreign made”

You go out tomorrow, test drive a Lexus, then test drive a Ford. Get back to me. All of them, Toyota, Lexus, Volvo, BMW, Honda are exceptional cars with the longest engine life available. It’s just a fact. Dude, do you really think I’d spend money on anything without finding out the facts on it? I bought my car last year, I went through it all.

“Why not, you do it with liberals. The fact of the matter is, these days, “radical” and “republican” are synonymous.”

Like which one? Give me one Republican name who attacked a liberal on a college campus and give me one Republican who’s equal to the crazy ladies at Code Pink.

    “What point is that?”

That you’d write over 20 posts on a woman you simultaneously claim is irrelevant.

  51. “Actually, she’s responsible for the mediocre close-race for McCain. John McCain lost that election, not Sarah Palin”

Again Steve, you can continue to provide yourself with temporary comfort by convincing yourself that high television ratings mean she’s popular, but you’ll just be that much more disappointed in the long run…

  52. “Again Steve, you can continue to provide yourself with temporary comfort by convincing yourself that high television ratings mean she’s popular”

Gee Robert, I wonder if he’s talking about Oprah?

  53. “Barack Obama is not 100% ethically African American”

Yes, he is. By definition. Stop arguing the point. You’re wrong. If I crack open an Obama photo album and see only white faces, that’s because he was raised by the American portion of his family. Only a fucking numb skull would try to make the argument you’re making.

“Do the daily 7.4 million take breaks? The first 7.4 million say “well, we watched Oprah on Monday now it’s the other 7.4 million’s turn!”

So, you want to make this argument for Oprah, but find it unfair to use the same formula for Rush? Are you seriously this much of a hack? For the last time, Rush has NO MORE than five million listeners per day. Your numbers are for shit, and you’re a hypocrite. Of the hundred plus people I know, not one of them listens to Limbaugh, but I can think of five off the top of my head who watch Orpah Windbag. Face it, he’s not nearly as popular as Oprah…

“Actually, she’s responsible for the mediocre close-race for McCain”

Yeah, but not for the reason you think. The number one reason given by those who didn’t vote for McCain was two words: Sarah Palin

    “70 million viewers….Obama’s inauguration 40 million.”

You’re conveniently omitting a couple of facts. First, 40 million people watched on television. That’s not counting the 27 million who watched on CNN.com. Plus, you’re comparing viewers watching a debate at 7:00pm vs. watching an inauguration at noon when people are working. It’s apples and oranges at best. Plus, like I said, she didn’t win. That should disprove any notion of popularity right there. But, please go on telling me that she’s the greatest thing since paper clips.

“First, I would have nothing to say on her IF YOUR LIBERALS wouldn’t be spending time attacking her”

That’s totally untrue. Did you put that stupid banner at the top of your page because liberals told you to?

“YOUR LIBERALS are the ones frightened with the large chance that she will run again”

Frightened? Are you serious? I welcome the “challenge”. As a matter of fact, I pray to God that she’ll run in 2012. I would love to see that idiot humiliated all over again. To be completely honest, I don’t think she’d make it out of the primary. I have a feeling Romney’s gonna be your nominee. Frightened, that’s precious…

“I have not seen a single person since Reagan draw such crowds”

“Such crowds”? 8,000 is not impressive my friend. Since you’ve decided to make this a popularity contest (that you lost once in the voting booths), I’d like to direct you to the 84,000 folks who showed up to watch Obama’s speech in Denver. Neither person on the GOP ticket could pay that many people to show up to their KKK meetings.

“The night she was announced, the deadbag RNC and McCain’s camp raised more money in that single night that they had prior”

That’s funny, she raised a lot of money for Obama too.

“She’ll be back again, and you’ll be right here screaming about her – especially when the nation will be ready for “change” again”

Are you really this dense? When have I ever taken it upon myself to mention that woman? Could it be whenever you shower her with undeserved praise? Like I said, you’re the only one I know on the Sarah bandwagon.

“It was the Sarah signings, the Sarah events, the Sarah appearances that got the attention.”

And yet, you couldn’t call Obama a celebrity enough…

“But until one more conservative comes along that gets you to write as much as you do on her”

What planet do you live on? Really. I’m not the one going out of my way to write stories about this idiot. Why don’t you go ahead and regale us with tales about the country of Africa?

“Actually it was the Democrats who had it re-counted 50,000 times and selectively choosing which counties”

That’s because it was the GOP who disenfranchised thousands of African Americans, compiling a list of “felons” that scrubbed 60,000 voters from the rolls that turned out to be 95% erroneous. Thanks much, Katherine Harris.

“May I remind you, Hillary won the popular vote over Obama in the primary. Not sure where you were back then.”

No, no she didn’t. That is a flat out lie, and one you use to your benefit, as if you supported either one of those candidates. Her made up figure counted Michigan and Florida, neither of which were actually counted, because she signed a pledge not to campaign or appear on the ballot in those states, due to the DNC moving the dates of their primaries. She went back on that pledge, knowing full well that their votes wouldn’t count, and even said so herself at one point – until she was down in both delegate count and popular vote. But, even if you added MI and FL, she still comes out behind. The only way the numbers would add up for her was if she counted the two states where Obama wasn’t even on the ballot, AND she added in the caucus wins (which consists of guessing votes). That is why Hillary Clinton is a lying bitch and why I would never have voted for her in the primary, granted I could vote at all in the primary. (Arizona has closed primaries, and since I’m not a member of either major party, I wasn’t allowed to cast a vote) So, to correct you, no, she did not win the popular vote. She lost the popular vote by 20 something thousand votes. I wrote a blog about this way back when it happened.

“Actually, because we had already slaughtered the Dems in 1994 with a 54-seat pick up, we had persuaded Clinton to sign NAFTA”

Who’s “we”? You voted for Clinton, buddy. You weren’t “we”, you were “them”…

“Of course, he was a horny hick who grossed out the country”

Yeah, so gross was he, that he left office with a 65% approval rating. What was Bush’s? 22%? Yeah, the worst of any president in history…

“and actually worked with his opposing party in Congress.”

Worked? You mean got pushed around? He didn’t have much of a choice after that piece of scum Gingrich shut down the entire government until he got his way. What a pussy! And need I remind you that Obama is genuinely trying to work with you assholes, but you keep biting the hand that feeds. Oh, well, you had your chance to play nice. I think you just might see some steam rolling now…

“So the election’s results between Gore’s VP experience and Clinton’s centrist positions were great proof that Americans are indeed more representative of conservatives”

That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. But, tell yourself whatever you have to, man. Pay no attention to the fact that 27% of people identify themselves as republican/conservative…

“Clinton was a true moderate aside from taxes and abortion”

I thought he was a liberal, make up your mind…

“This election on the other hand was more representative of ACORN and those fixated on Obama’s race – even though he’s only half of it. There was no substance to it”

You are so very far in denial. I’m surprised you acknowledge you’re gay…

“Ah, an isolationist, next thing I know you’ll stump for Ron Paul”

No, a protectionist. Ron Paul is still a “free market, free trade” guy

“Hey, will you help us build that wall and put up the signs that say “no Trespassing” in Spanish and Arabic at the borders?”

Isn’t that what you guys want? Keep all the brown people out?

“You go out tomorrow, test drive a Lexus, then test drive a Ford. Get back to me.”

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I love foreign cars, particularly Japanese. The car I have now is the first domestic I’ve ever owned. I just think it would be better for everyone if our auto industry were healthy. Many people have this stigma ingrained in them, that domestic cars are built to break down the day after your warranty expires, but that’s just not the case anymore.

“Like which one? Give me one Republican name who attacked a liberal on a college campus”

Just because people weren’t hit with pies doesn’t mean there’s no attack on free speech. In 2004, Michael Moore was banned from a number of college campuses like George Mason University in Virginia. Other colleges, like University of Nevada-Reno were offered large donations by local Republicans if they would cancel Moore’s appearance. Many were threatened with violence and boycotts if Moore stepped foot on campus. The Republican Party in Michigan asked prosecutors to arrest him for offering clean underwear and ramen noodles as a “bribe” to get young people to vote. That, in my opinion, is far more pernicious than getting frosting in your precious Coulter’s hair…

“give me one Republican who’s equal to the crazy ladies at Code Pink.”

Um, all of them. You here in this forum, the CATO Institute, the Ayn Rand Institute, the Heritage Foundation, et. al…

“That you’d write over 20 posts on a woman you simultaneously claim is irrelevant.”

She is irrelevant. Notice the only reason we’re discussing her is because YOU keep bringing her up.

  54. “Gee Robert, I wonder if he’s talking about Oprah?”

Could be. Don’t conflate the fact that she’s more popular than Limbaugh with me liking her, because I don’t. Personally, I think people that watch that shit and take whatever she says as gospel are idiots. As a matter of fact, I wrote a blog over a year ago criticizing her heavily for supporting Obama in the primary, for the simple fact that so many numb skulls do whatever the fuck she says. I thought it was unfair for such a hugely popular celebrity with that kind of power over people to endorese a candidate in a primary. Of course she had every right to do that, but it just really pissed me off…

  55. I would not wager Sarah Palin will be our nominee in 2012. There is too much road to travel before the next election cycle. Too much can happen and does.

Who would have thought Mike Huckabee would win Iowa? He did. He was a one state wonder. But, he pulled it off. Who saw that coming four years ago?

I will say I identify more with Sarah Palin vs. any other candidate. We come from similar backgrounds. We are very close in age. But how many college educated 44 year olds are there? There are not enough to sway an election.

All in all a lot can happen in four years. A lot will happen in four years. I think the public has a fixation with Sarah Palin. In my opinion one of the biggest drivers of that fixation is jealousy. Like it or not, she achieved something the rest of us have not. She was named to a Presidential ticket. I believe there are people out there who feel they have done as much and are jealous she was chosen. It’s kind of like being cut from the school basketball team when you know you are better than the coach’s son who made the team.
