How To Win A War

Before I begin, watch this video in its entirety. Pay careful attention to the last 45 seconds.

(Tip of the mean black cowboy hat to Michelle Malkin)

Now, if you watched the video, you know what’s going on. It’s a public memorial for Pvt. William Long, shot to death by a jihadist outside an Army-Navy recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas. A Muslim woman showed up, apparently dragging her kids along with her, to protest the memorial. She screams that US soldiers are killing women and children–innocent civilians. She hollers that 9/11 was an inside job. Then she talks about how her religion is “peace.” The media wants to talk to her. At the end, the answer comes into crystal-clear focus.

If you notice, she has several “9/11 was an inside job” bumper stickers. She also has several bumper stickers touting Infowars. For those late to the game, Infowars is the disinformation group of conspiracy nutcases led by Alex Jones–a man more in dire need of a straitjacket and a Thorazine drip than any person I’ve ever seen in my life. You really have to see some of the footage of him running around and screaming like a lunatic at the Denver Mint to understand what he’s really like. He’s a taco short of a fiesta.

Anyway…this clip is the perfect example of exactly how the extremists are winning the war on terrorism, and they’re doing it by using our own rules against us. We, as a society, don’t like to hurt others. We don’t like the idea of killing, even when it’s necessary. We pride ourselves in being “multicultural,” “diverse” and “tolerant” to the point that we’re not willing to step on anyone’s toes.

The extremists know this, and they know it well. They’re using it against us.

If you think the militant Muslims bent on destroying the US aren’t paying attention to raving quacks like Alex Jones, think again. They know exactly what that guy and his army of bile-spewing zombies believe, and they’re happy to push that line because they know that Americans don’t think as much as they feel, and the instant someone waves anything under the collective noses of America that even comes close to looking like evidence of a government-led attack and coverup, droves in this country will buy it hook, line and sinker. Not only do they know we’ll fall for it, but they are counting on it. It’s going to be the best way for them to get where they need to be, because now they have us questioning the official story. That means that if Muslims aren’t to blame, we need to do all we can to protect them.

It makes their job far easier.

A smart opponent knows how to hit you. He’ll find a method of attack that uses the least amount of resources and manpower. Since the Muslim extremists don’t have an unlimited supply of either, they’re legitimizing themselves to make it easier to take us down. In case nobody noticed, it’s working. They’ll rely on the likes of Alex Jones and Dylan Avery (maker of the crockumentary “Loose Change”) to create an atmosphere more tolerant of them so they can continue to work in the open, just as they did before 9/11. They know how to win a war these days, and it hardly takes any effort, mostly because we’re not willing to give any.

  1. And it wasn’t really on the news, was it? They’re STILL discussing the murder of Dr. Tiller, and yet the murder of one of our soldiers at a recruiting office was way down on the news pile.

As was this little bit about the memorial crasher.

  2. “And it wasn’t really on the news, was it? They’re STILL discussing the murder of Dr. Tiller…”

Yes they are. I am not happy about Dr. Tiller’s murder. I also lost a ton of respect for him after watching the national news yesterday. They profiled a woman who underwent a late term abortion. I was sickened by what she said.

She was pregnant. An ultrasound revealed her baby’s heart had three holes in it. At least three surgeries would be required to close these holes and her baby would likely die in 3 to 5 years. The quality of life for her baby would be miserable.

Rather than go through the pain of losing a child she opted for a late term abortion. These were her own words.

Excuse me? What about a heart transplant? Sometimes the doctors are wrong about 3-5 years. What about advances in medical technology?

I can’t believe Dr. Tiller performed this procedure. The mom’s life wasn’t in danger. If she really could not bear losing a child in 3 to 5 years then put the baby up for adoption. In my opinion this mom and dad took the easy way out and Dr. Tiller failed them as a physician.

  3. What exactly was this woman protesting? It appears she was there to absolve her religion of any wrong doing. I thought she did bring up a very valid point. There have been plenty of “Christians” that have committed horrible acts because of their beliefs, and no one in this country seems inclined to hold all Christians responsible or to even view Christians in a negative light. Islam, on the other hand is summarily dismissed as a hateful and bloodthirsty religion, to quote Neal Boortz. It’s kind of a wacky double standard. I will say that it is refreshing to see someone call a fellow conservative a “nutcase”. I always thought Alex Jones was a bit too paranoid for his own good…

  4. “And it wasn’t really on the news, was it? They’re STILL discussing the murder of Dr. Tiller…”

I’m not sure why you folks are getting the impression that the story is being ignored by the media. I heard about the story on CNN, before it made its way onto this site. I subsequently read about it on msnbc’s website, and saw an approximate five minute (which is pretty long for a news story) piece about it on MSNBC’s network. I mean, are we just upset that one story is capturing more of an interest than another? Because that’s just the nature of news. You can’t expect one news story to mean the same thing to everyone…

  5. She was not absolving her religion of wrongdoing. She was primarily there to accuse US troops of murdering innocent civilians, which she does at the top of her lungs multiple times, and declare 9/11 is an inside job. The whole “you people are unfairly targeting Muslims” was secondary to those messages.

And really, if Islam is a peaceful religion, then why are rape VICTIMS sentenced to thirty lashes and a decade in prison in Sharia-run nations?

  6. “And really, if Islam is a peaceful religion, then why are rape VICTIMS sentenced to thirty lashes and a decade in prison in Sharia-run nations?”

There’s no way I can answer that. Can you answer the reasons some southern baptists see fit to test God by handling poisonous snakes? The fact of the matter is, there is no shortage of toxic behavior in religion, regardless of which religion. A caste system exists to this day in parts of India, with rape being a prevalent occurrence. The bible still instructs people to stone adulterers, and kill Mennonites, but the majority of church going Christians don’t take that stuff seriously, and I know that the same is true of Muslims going to mosque. Granted, the number of crazy Muslims far outnumbers the number of crazy Christians, but the woman’s point remains valid. We are quick to condemn the actions of those who have a foreign religion, while ignoring the faults in our own. There’s that plank in the eye again…

  7. Robert, snake handlers are not Southern Baptists–they’re actually a form of Pentecostals. And they’re incredibly rare to boot. What I’m talking about is entire nations run as theocracies dictated by Sharia.

The bible says to kill people in the Old Testament, and the New Testament says differently. You really can’t take the Qur’an out of context like that, because it really only says the same things over and over again. That’s why a huge swath of Mideast nations are ruled by Sharia. You cannot claim that Christianity today is anything like Islam. Islam has never changed (remember the Barbary Wars?). Christianity has, because it’s been found that the bible was being horribly abused by those who killed in the name of Jesus Christ.

  8. “Robert, snake handlers are not Southern Baptists–they’re actually a form of Pentecostals”

    Tomato, tomahto.

“The bible says to kill people in the Old Testament, and the New Testament says differently”

Again, we’re talking about fundamentalists. That’s what makes them crazy, the fact that they still take this stuff literally.

“You cannot claim that Christianity today is anything like Islam”

I don’t intend on making any such claim, considering they are two different religions. All I’m saying is you’ll find plenty of people, of any religion, that pervert it to justify horrible acts.

“Christianity has, because it’s been found that the bible was being horribly abused by those who killed in the name of Jesus Christ.”

I hate to break it to you, but it still happens.
Christianity has indeed come a long way since reformations after the crusades, and hopefully Islam will undergo similar reformations…

  9. Yes, we’re talking about fundamentalists, but they don’t run entire nations now. Muslims do. Islam HAS NOT CHANGED in centuries of belief. Since the Barbary Wars, Muslims have hated the Western world and have done all they can to undermine us and our culture.

The Qur’an is not being abused by those who kill in the name of Allah. It’s actually being fulfilled. Big difference between that and the bible.

  10. “Since the Barbary Wars, Muslims have hated the Western world and have done all they can to undermine us and our culture.”

I disagree. I don’t see anything that tells Muslims to specifically kill westerners, and I sincerely don’t think it would be one of the three great religions if the Quran was an instruction manual for murder…

  11. It literally says “kill all infidels.” An infidel is any person who refuses to convert to Islam. Other religions are to be tolerated only when they are in the majority; they’re referred to as Dhimmis, and they’re to be forced to pay a tax for not converting. In the end, however, all infidels are subject to be executed according to Islam and Sharia.
