Apparently Liberals Still Aren’t Over Palin

As Ann Coulter mocked beautifully this week, liberals just cannot seem to get over Sarah Palin.  Just within the last 24 hours, the following was put forth:

1.) Suddenly now, it appears that Levi Johnston has become the new hero to liberals.  I mean, it’s only natural.  He made a baby he’s not taking care of, he lived off of the Palins for months, and he’s caving into all the sudden new respect, adoration, and praise of a group of idiots.

2.) Just this morning, Sarah Palin and her attorney released the following statement:

When Governor Palin announced that she would be resigning, in part, because of the unusual number of frivolous ethics complaints burdening the state of Alaska, that was not intended to be an invitation to file more frivolous ethics complaints. Not everyone got the message. As if to underscore the Governor’s point, two more frivolous complaints were filed this week.

For example, Raymond A. Ward (DOB 1947), has apparently filed a state ethics complaint (No. 19) incorrectly alleging that the Governor has appeared on “television and radio variety shows earning and accepting money for personal and private use on state time.” These allegations are categorically false. Though signed under “penalty of purgery” (sic) it is apparent that Mr. Ward has no factual basis for the statements he has made.

Governor Palin has never been paid an appearance fee or received other remuneration from any “television or radio” show. She has not been paid for any media interview. The allegations made by Mr. Ward have no basis in truth.

In releasing the complaint publicly today, Mr. Ward violated the confidentiality provision of the Ethics Act. Mr. Ward is apparently no stranger to the Alaska court system apparently with a collection of criminal and civil matters allegedly involving him, including possible allegations of: filing a false report, illegal use of the telephone, criminal trespass, domestic violence, vehicle tampering, and DUI. Ward’s attorney in some of those past cases–Rex Butler.

Attached are Courtview print-outs as well as an updated list of ethics complaints.

  1. I always love Ann’s columns, and this one is no exception…but did she have to make that crack about Rachel Maddow’s “raw sex appeal?”

Really? Seriously? That was taking it just a hair too far. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. EUGH.

  2. “did she have to make that crack about Rachel Maddow’s “raw sex appeal?”

I think Rachel is ridiculously cute. Kind of a shame that she’s gay…

  3. Oh my did I get in a huge dustup with my liberal friends. One of my friends posted a link to a silly Wall St. Journal piece on Sarah Palin.

My comment was, ‘More petty jealousy and envy. Get over it.’

Oh my did the fur fly.

What angers uber liberals about Palin are two basic elements:

    1. She succeeded and nobody is allowed to be successful.

    2. She did not have an impeccable pedigree of wealthy parents, Ivy Legaue degrees, and high flying work at Manhattan law firms to bolster her credentials.

Rather, Sarah Palin is a Everyperson in many ways. There is not much difference between her and every rank and file person in America.

The one glaring difference is she got fed up with how things were being run in her state and decided to try and make it better.

So I asked my friends because we are all in the same age group as Sarah Plain, “Do you feel like you haven’t done enough in your life? Does it anger you someone you feel is so beneath you did more than you’ll ever do? Is that what bothers you because I know it does.”

Well that got me in the doghouse as if I cared.

I don’t totally agree with Sarah Palin 100 percent. We can debate whether she did a good job as Gov. of Alaska or would have made a good VP. But, none of us can deny she got off her ass and tried to make things better in spite of a family pedigree that put the odds against her.

  4. This A.M. on The Today Show they interviewed Levi the father of Bristol Palin’s child.

He gave a tell all about life with the Palin family. He mentioned Sarah Palin wanted to get out of politics and cash in. He would not go as far and say that is her motive for resigning as Gov. of Alaska.

Is this is what it has come too? Unsubstantiated talk from someone who has his own eye on 15 minutes of fame?

Envy and jealousy. Dan Quayle never had it this bad and he won his Presidential election.

  5. It is astonishing. I am stunned with all happening in the world today, that NBC and MSNBC is using Levi Johnston (who may as well be Fabio) as credible insight.

    It’s nauseating, really.

  6. “What angers uber liberals about Palin are two basic elements:

    1. She succeeded and nobody is allowed to be successful.”

Anybody who genuinely believes that is a complete idiot…

You are such a riot Robert. Please don’t ever leave this place. I am serious.

How successful was your run for Governor? Oh I suppose you haven’t tried.

The second part of my statement is probably the most astute thing anyone will say this year.

This country demonizes people who succeed. We sue them for anti-trust (Bill Gates). We call them unworthy (Paris Hilton). We post pictures of them taking a bong hit (Michael Phelps). On and on it goes.

Levi Johnston mentioned something about $7 million for Sarah Palin’s book deal. Now, if they sell for $29.95 hard cover then that means she has to sell 233,722 books. O.K. that might be the right number. She does have a book deal with Harper – Collins.
