“Change” We Can Believe In! (Without the Help of the Media)

Sarah

I have been noticing Obama’s approval ratings on Gallup the last couple of days….where some polls have him below 50% and others have him above, I consistently use the gallup polls to track how things are going.  The last few days, he’s been bouncing between 50% and 51%, which is important because for many weeks, he’d been bouncing between 51% and 54%.

Most notably was the poll on Congressional elections for 2010.  The Democrats just months ago enjoyed a six point lead over Republicans to the question “if the elections were held today?”

A new poll released today shows both parties virtually tied.

The Health Care issue – along with facts of the stimulus coming out – are going to be the biggest issues.

In more news, we know that Sarah Palin’s book – just on pre-orders alone has hit the number one spot on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble bestseller lists (plus, it is reported she has received a whopping $7M advance from the publishers).

It is rumored that Palin will be stomping for Republican candidates in 2010 and further rumored that proceeds received from her speeches will provide her with more power to do more.

Think for a second how the MSM has portrayed Palin and how they continue to portray Obama.  While they do this, I hear people complaining about the man as I stand in line at the grocery store or at the gas station.

With the “death panels” which were removed from the legislation of these proposed bills – due to one little Twitter by Sarah Palin – and as liberals continue to bounce back and forth as they are slapped with the reality of what Americans really want, let’s pray that they take the messages of Americans seriously.

The media will never be more powerful than the great intrinsic wisdom of the American people.

  1. Agreed. Michael Moore’s new movie Capitalism: A Love Story is a box office flop too. I saw it last weekend. My blood nearly boiled because he did a great job of telling 75% of a given story and forgetting the 25% that matters.

What really made me angry about that film is he featured two people who lost their homes to foreclosure. But he never stated why that happened. He implied the greedy bankers were totally responsible for this.

In another part of the film he featured a realtor who snaps up foreclosed homes at fire sale prices and finds owners for them. This is known an Vulture Real Estate. Michael Moore implied this is a bad thing. What does Michael Moore expect? Does he expect these homes to stay vacant for good? Does he expect people to buy them for more than they are worth? Of course not, he expects the banks to allow the former owners to stay in their homes and forgive thousands in mortgage debt.

Funny how the big Obama love fest liberal wave avoided this film.

  2. Oh, I’ll be reviewing Moore’s latest film myself soon. I’m very interested in knowing just how he picked these stories.

What’s interesting about Moore now is that he’s so pro-Democrat, pro-union and all, and the stagehands he used weren’t from the stagehand’s union.

Steve…I can’t wait to get my hands on this book. I imagine I’ll be turning some heads when I walk into work with that in my hands!

  3. “Oh, I’ll be reviewing Moore’s latest film myself soon. I’m very interested in knowing just how he picked these stories.”

Be sure to have some blood pressure medication handy. I was so angry about his point of view. I went into the film with an open mind. Capitalism is not perfect. I knew that going in.

Bonus points Mel if you get guess the unintended underlying message of the film because to me it was loud and clear.

  4. “I enjoyed his chat with Hannity last night…..he loves Capitalism when it serves him but hates it when it serves others, basically.”

That’s the irony of it. Bowling for Columbine and Sicko filled his wallet nicely.

If Michael Moore understood Capitalism, then he never would have made this film.

He also like Capitalism with the rich get nailed with a top marginal tax rate of 90% and labor unions grab the benefits of ownership without making any investment in the company.

  5. The response to Sarah palin’s book shows marvelously how the people disregard the Main Stream Media as irrelevant, or as Glenn Becks says the fringe media.

Our government, our media, our political system, our elected officials are all detached from reality.

We really must start learning Chinese so we can become collaborators and survive under our new masters, since no one in the government or the media will help the people because the leaders live on a different planet.

  6. “and as liberals continue to bounce back and forth as they are slapped with the reality of what Americans really want”

I just can’t help but wonder why it is that Palin’s measurements of how “America loves her” are the exact same kinds you make fun of for Obama(Drawing large crowds, selling lots of books etc). Seems that when a Democrat is popular, it’s just because of that freaky, loony left, but when a neocon is popular is because “America” loves him/her.

Note that the polls show Palin losing to Obama by the biggest landslide since Nixon. Oh wait! THOSE polls don’t count do they? No…the only legitimate ones are the ones that show Obama’s approval slipping or the Democrats losing…. lol

Sometime ago you conservative clowns stopped even wanted to be taken seriously lmao

  7. “Seems that when a Democrat is popular, it’s just because of that freaky, loony left, but when a neocon is popular is because “America” loves him/her.”

That’s because one type of popularity is placed on the measurement of crowds drawn in Europe or Germany – and the other is earned honestly against the wishes of the NY Times or the MSM. That’s the part of American quality we look for, as real Americans who truly love this country – we aren’t looking for the approval of countries that push for socialist agendas. This is America, and Sarah Palin stands for the same standards we had since we were founded. Quality for all by providing true equal opportunity to all, not by deciding who gets tax breaks, who pays more, who pays less. Everybody pays equally along all the lines, you shore up more power in the dollar and in the economy and the government winds up taking in MORE revenue. Simultaneously, wealth is allowed to grow and opportunity continues to be created.

Obama doesn’t subscribe to that very simple American recipe.

And on another note, both of Obama’s books combined won’t top Palin’s one in sales. She’s simply someone revered as more of an American than Barack is. There’s nothing racist or sexist about that….

She has something intrinsic that cannot be earned at an Ivy League school. As we know by listening to our own President – Ivy league or great education is not the basis of what makes an excellent leader, it’s the wisdom:

“Some of us who attended law school or are in business know there are a lot of real smart people out there whom you would not put in charge of stuff.”

    Barack Obama, June 8, 2005

    I second that, Mr. President!

  8. Poor Steve

You at least used to TRY to make sense lol. So Obama’s only enthusiasm comes from Europe? Wow Gandalf! I bet you think you can change facts by writing lol. Is that from the same universe where Al Franken’s books were failures as opposed to number ones on the NYTimes?

America is in love with Obama and you’ve always been trying to spin it as “Obamania” or whatever. He even made you have to defend Reagan the Great! 😉

Btw, since you seem to be so knowledgeable about polls, Obama beats Palin 55 to33% and Palin’s ratings are at 40%. But THOSE polls don’t count do they? 😉

The problem with the right-wing’s ridiculousness is their frantic need to apply a double standard to everything. The facts prove that the only people who appreciate Palin are the goofy conservatives on the fringes of society. McCain’s numbers went down in the election before the economic crisis and right after Palin starting going on television to be interviewed.

Sorry to sting you with all those facts Steve. But don’t worry, so you can still try to change the subject to something like, “You’re standing up for convicted murderers and not innocent babies!!!!” as you have a penchant for doing 😉

  9. “You at least used to TRY to make sense lol. So Obama’s only enthusiasm comes from Europe?”

Yes, in case you’ve missed the polls you so revere, he’s dropped in them faster in his first year than even Jimmy Carter did, and we all know how the end of his first term went, didn’t we?

As it stands now, Barack is hardly holding onto the support of half the country – this comes from the Gallup poll where right off the weekend he begins the week with a hardy 51%. We also see that Gallup’s congressional polling now places Democrats and Republicans neck-to-neck where the Democrats held a comfortable 8 point lead just one little month ago.

To claim that Obama’s mere 52-47 “landslide” would have been even less if McCain was our stellar “conservative” nominee without Sarah Palin doesn’t say much for America’s crave of progressive values, does it?

The facts are the facts, Tom. You can jimmy rig any “poll” you want….more people watched Palin speeches than Biden, Obama, and McCain, more people watched her debate than they did his inauguration, and more people are buying her book.

Without the MSM’s approval, the country has regained its true love of conservatism – the basis of what makes this country what it used to be before Michelle Obama became proud of it for the very first time in her adult life.

We wiped the floor with Democrats for over 12 years, you guys screamed for eight years that Bush was a terrorist and cried everytime someone thanked God in public. With all that screaming, you reclaimed the House with 34 seats hardly matching the stealth of 1994’s 54-seat takeover by Republicans.

Then, you get a mere 52-47 even after ACORN registered the homeless and the crackheads to vote…promising them “change” (and knowing ACORN, I am sure there was plenty of pocket change for those votes) and you even come on here in your saddest attempts to confidently tell me how America hates Sarah Palin and claim that McCain’s loss would have been EVEN SMALLER…..

That’s the point here. The fact is, Republicans lose when they stop being conservative. But the true lining here, is that when America sees the House party liberals throw with their tax dollars, it takes only a mere one year to wake them back up again – virtually handing us a bigger Congressional pickup than we had in 1994.

Everything I predicted would happen at the beginning has happened…..

Liberalism is being mocked by the even crazier on the left and all of those in the center and certainly on the right.

Your dismissal of Sarah Palin won’t change that – because the fact is, we’d be able to run anyone we wanted to in 2012 and win. So, at this point, it is our choice and not yours.

So, unless you’re willing to make an argument for something that is going to better your country – rather than serve your immediate purposes of sucking up everyone’s time, we’ll pick our own candidates from this moment on.

The ones – like Palin and Reagan – that make your head explode I would say are a pretty damn good starting point for ideas. 😉

  10. By the way, anybody else notice how angry the “progressives” have been in their defense of Obama?

At least conservatives know how to enjoy it when they win. All Sarah Palin has to do is write a Twitter post about death panels to get an all-liberal Congress to remove pieces of legislation from entire Bills which contain incentives for physicians who talk to patients about end-of-life options.

That powerless Palin keeps trucking on, doesn’t she? Somehow one woman who isn’t controlling any office at this point STILL manages to slap around almost 400 Democrats.

  11. You can put “landslide” in quotes all you want if it’ll make the pain go away.

Nice to see guys were able to get your “revolution” in 1994 after being the minority for over half a century lmao!

    Obama 55%-Palin 30% (Hypothetical election matchup-pollingreport.com).

Ouch! Was I not allowed to cite that? 😉

As you said, Obama even has his own Chia Pet modeled after him! lol. But wait! That’s just the MEDIA that’s in love with him right? How convenient of a delusion lol.

Apparently the right-wing’s secret weapon is quotation marks. What on Earth would they possible do without them to sound condescending?!

    Let me try!

Hey “Steve”, ever occur to you that those “views” in the “debates” were because “Palin” was “polarizing?”

By all means please “run” her in “2012” and “see” how “conservative” this country really “is”.

    lol damn that was fun!

  12. Also, I find it amusing that you would cite polls in the very same response in which you mocked those that were negative for Palin.

  13. “You can put “landslide” in quotes all you want if it’ll make the pain go away.

Nice to see guys were able to get your “revolution” in 1994 after being the minority for over half a century lmao!”

You’d have to make the argument that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama are JFK and FDR.

So what Tom? The country has had 50 years of social security and in that 50 years, they watched it go broke. In 50 years, they watched medicare go broke….the liberal ideals that seem nice to kids like you were revealed to Americans as they began to fail. So, taking the country back to a system of true American ideals and opportunity was a system of failure promoted by media since the beginning of the television era (you know, the same time scientists were warning of “global cooling!”).

And your allegation of “pain” on my end while you’re the one calling a 52-47 a “landslide” and further that laugh by claiming it would have been EVEN SMALLER but for Sarah Palin…..is the fun factor here.

The only thing I give you is that Obama’s victory could have been a massive landslide if McCain went at it without Palin. But you spite your own position to attempt at sadly supporting the other.

    “Obama 55%-Palin 30% (Hypothetical election matchup-pollingreport.com).”

That means she’ll win in a landslide.

“As you said, Obama even has his own Chia Pet modeled after him! lol. But wait! That’s just the MEDIA that’s in love with him right?”

No, that’s just funny. I don’t even think Oprah would have given a go-ahead to a chia pet named after her….and you know, there isn’t a single non-American that would work with the chia pet. In essence, I think the marketing of a Chia-Pet with fro-like hair from the 70’s to describe an accomplished black man is quite racist – unless of course you’re honoring the fine men from the Brady Bunch.

“Hey “Steve”, ever occur to you that those “views” in the “debates” were because “Palin” was “polarizing?””

Yup, she pulled the 70 million most right-winging Americans together! Did 70 million people even vote?

“By all means please “run” her in “2012″ and “see” how “conservative” this country really “is”.”

We will! Because we are the party that really knows how to gloat and enjoy its success. We could run Mickey Mouse after this guy and win.

  14. Once again Steve, polarization gets views, even on debates. My mom who hates Sarah Palin was obsessed with making sure her SNL appearance was DVRed. Ann Coulter knows this rule. She lives on being hated by most people and adored by a loyal fringe whom everyone laughs at as they insist the country shares their views.

I have facts. You have condescension. Even the NJ governor is getting back on track! lol

  15. “Once again Steve, polarization gets views, even on debates. My mom who hates Sarah Palin was obsessed with making sure her SNL appearance was DVRed.”

That’s because liberals are like children….no matter how strongly they oppose something, they continue to grasp onto the most crazy things that will remind them why this woman is bad…to go out of their way to decide that a conservative woman who is pro-life and marries one man and doesn’t smoke weed with her 19-year old boyfriend is incompetent.

Bitter liberal women usually flock together….they’re bitter for different reasons, of course…but they’re equally predictable.

Which in essence describes Palin power. It’s the same time of hate that you get from atheists regarding Christianity or God. Loud groups – the same ones watching – scream in dissent, but in the end when all else fails, the realizations are crystal clear.

Bottom line, the country loves her and her effectiveness over Congress and her non-released book sales proves it, and watching you chase your tail is life’s litte extra cherry. 🙂

  16. Congratulations Steve! So far you’ve managed to control yourself from bursting out with “UR COMPARING INNOCENT BABIES WITH EVIL MURDERERS!!”

OR ranting about how poor flags are being burned! lol

Of course you Ann Coulter zombies will never shut up. You will always selectively apply polls and abuse logic just to avoid admitting you’ve been owned. It’s kinda sad

  17. “Of course you Ann Coulter zombies will never shut up. You will always selectively apply polls and abuse logic just to avoid admitting you’ve been owned. It’s kinda sad”

That’s because all liberals can do now is hold onto “polls” that described the attitude of Americans toward certain Republicans – like the unelectable John McCain – and his daughter Megyn….whose advice to all Republicans to win elections (even though they keep losing them) is to be LESS conservative for a successful ticket.

Now that Obambi’s approval ratings are tanking faster than Carter’s did, faster than GWB’s did, etc…..we know Tom, that liberal policies ARE NOT popular with Americans.

In the end, it all goes back to money. Tax money. Liberals pretend to champion “rights” so that they can hoodwink 300 million to giving them control of the legislative process – but guess what? They couldn’t even swing a healthcare bill that they NEVER NEEDED Republican support for to push it through – because of the American people!

Liberals were sure to tell Americans how crazy Sarah was when responding to Michelle Bachman’s speech on the House Floor quoting Zeke Emanuel and his thoughts on the level of productivity among certain elderly and special needs Americans…..

Yeah, she was crazy to allege “death panels” wasn’t she? Now, tell me Tom – was it just a coincidence that just a few mere days later, all pages of HR3200; which provided incentives to Doctors who induced end-of-life discussions with patients, were ripped out of the Bill?

Yep, just a coincidence alright. Just like it’s a coincidence that while the media continued to “fact check” Palin’s accusations of “death panels”, they forgot to mention the results of the cowardly Democrats in Congress pulling those pages of the legislation out…..

But see, Americans have the power now, Tom. Not the universities, not the politicians, not the media….and that’s all Sarah Palin is now – an American…..just like me, just like Mel, just like Philip. That insignificant woman you love to hate has your “progressives” running. That’s a woman of power.

You were so sure that this new government that has failed at everything (more death in war in a single year than the previous administration, more national debt, more unemployment, no closing of Guantanamo, no closing of our troop presence in Iraq) was going to keep you in gloat mode. At this point; Tom, you’d better hang on to the “landslide” results for ammo. LMAO.

Your “progressives” are in charge right now and we get to smile and watch them all come to the realization that Americans are and always will be true conservatives at heart – as they continue to accomplish nothing.

Simultaneously you can lament on pro-life arguments all you want, but the way I see it, Tom – your President has failed to enrage his opposition because his opposition knows that the American people will NEVER allow the “progressive” policies in which you support.

That’s right, Tom. The joke is on you baby.

  18. Steve, you can’t be expected to be taken seriously when you make assertions like a LACK of conservatism is what caused you to lose.

Sometimes it seems you don’t know anything about politics. There’s an ebb and flow between power Steve. A Republic was in the WH for 8 years(not to mention the fact that he was the most unpopular president in American history). “Conservatism” was old and the country was ready to change as it always does after long periods of one-party control(take into account at this point that Al Gore won the popular vote DESPITE this disadvantage lol).

You can obsess over the word “conservative” all you want, and when you guys eventually win you can kid yourself and say it’s because this time you had a “true conservative” or whatever. But I find it’s better to live in reality and I hope you’ll agree one day.

There were never any sort of “Death panels” Steve. Politifact.com rating that a “pants on fire lie”. At most there may have been some badly worded stuff that could have been misinterpreted.

And enough with this war against “the media”. It’s ridiculous. The media is not an evil boogeyman, it’s even largely conservative. They’re covering up the execution of an innocent man in Texas(which the “pro-life” governor is covering up himself) . They’re covering the unprecedented abortion victories on ballots around the country(such as the most pro-life state upholding it twice in a row by double-digit margins) and instead bloviating about how conservative this country just because of gay marriage. The media was in the tank for Bush, not Gore, as well as the war in Iraq.

Enough of this childish blaming of this all-powerful, evil “media”. And enough with this right-wing obsession with believing that America is conservative. Would it be so bad to just admit that you’re side, for the time being, is simply unpopular? Yes, your IDEAS too.

The Democratic governor John Corzine is actually AHEAD in the polls now and Democrats’ favorability ratings trounce those of Republics, the former having a positive one and the latter a negative.

    http://pollingreport.com/

Look at the poll on the top right

    Sincerely,
    Tom

  19. *your side, not “you’re”

*bloviating about how conservative this country IS

    Damn, I should start spellchecking!

  20. Tom, it is about conservatism and realizing that most people want smaller government and less taxation.

It is about ignoring the D’s and the R’s.

It’s about you understanding to some extent that liberals win elections when Republicans screw up. Republicans don’t screw up by being conservative. Republicans screw up when they become liberal….like when they write legislation with Russ Feingold, like when they hysterically denounce waterboarding, like when they fight for amnesty and McCain and Bush BOTH did.

Just a few days ago, I was massively upset at the fact that Newt Gingrich had apparently drank a little of the McCain koolaid by supporting the Republican in New York simply because the woman has an “R” at the end of her name.

Sarah Palin turned on him, Tom. She’s supporting the third party candidate because that candidate possesses MORE conservative values than the Republican did.

She also made decisions for the people in her state that made members of BOTH parties angry – while governing with a servant’s heart for the state.

In the race, there were many things her and McCain disagreed on, most having to do with drilling for example….

Liberals are given a chance here to prove to us how perfect liberalism is….they control everything and manage to continue blaming Bush and Fox News while they are the ones calling the shots. Okay, let them prove to us how great their policies are!

But if they cannot (as I know they will not), the country will shut them out.

This is the time to concentrate less on liberals and more on the RINOS to get them the hell out of our way so that conservatism doesn’t wind up taking the blame for stupidity.

  21. “like when they fight for amnesty and McCain and Bush BOTH did”

You’d have a point there given that Bush won the two most pathetic victories in world history.

There’s nothing I can say Steve. You’re blinding yourself with your signature right-wing obsession with believing what’s comforting over what your better judgment knows is true. I love how you talk about an “experiment” of running a moderate. Did you REALLY believe that after 8 years of controlling the WH, another Republican had a chance of winning let alone following the most UNPOPULAR president in history??? COME ON MAN WAKE UP. This is getting so annoying because I’m trying to analyze with reason and you can’t release your reasoning from your irrational and obsessive conviction that there’s a secret conservative majority that controls all elections and “lets” a liberal come into power only to teach the GOP a lesson. That’s as pathetic as the 9/11 kooks. America is a democracy Steve, with different ideas competing. It’s not an all-powerful oligarchy of Sean Hannity-T-shirt-wearing conservatives.

Wake up Steve! It’s not that bad to admit that the country doesn’t always agree with you but you have to get over this ridiculousness that Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity indoctrinate you with the excite you. They’re business people and they’re using you to get ratings and book sales!

Come down to Earth and let go of this “liberal media vs average, Nascar-loving America” talk and maybe our discussion could go somewhere. Otherwise it’s just pointless and I have better things to do than argue with someone who lives off of comforts and fantasies.

I know you’re smart and knowledgeable Steve because you’ve occasionally beaten me, but let it SHOW instead of burying it in your right-wing obsession talk!

    Sincerely, your bud
    Tom

  22. Oh Steve. Now THIS is the kind of poll that would deserve that condescending dismissal of yours lol.

“Conservatives” can word polls any which way they like to get what they want to hear, but thse same “conservatives” are also the ones who would reply having a right to other people’s tax dollars for their medical bills if they ever get hit by a truck or end up in some sort of accident. These “conservatives” are the same people who would laugh at Sean Hannity’s expert analysis.

I prefer to look at real polls, the ones that ask specific questions. For example, one polls asked whether people supported Roe v Wade and provided a PRECISE elaboration and definition of exactly what it is and guess what? over 70% responded that they wanted to keep it. This is despite this “conservative”, “pro-life” America you’d believe from these “polls”.

Come one Steve I’m rooting for ya to make a good point!

  23. Now Tom, you cannot dismiss the Gallup.

You also cannot conveniently re-define “conservative” when clearly the new, fresh, and ever-so-descriptive poll from Gallup – the polling king – states that “liberals” are in the minority.

So what now? Does liberal mean conservative and does conservative mean liberal? Just like you believe that the Republicans who ended slavery were Democrats and the Democrats who owned them were Republicans?

  24. “Just like you believe that the Republicans who ended slavery were Democrats and the Democrats who owned them were Republicans?”

Ironically Steve, you’re the one who’s proving yourself uninformed with that little statement, as even Republican students of history are well aware the southern strategy(not to mention embarrassed by it). Remember that time I told you Clinton had the highest end-of-office approval rating ever and all you could do was pout and deny it? Lol that was priceless 😉

Nice dodge of the subject though! Keep clinging onto your “polls” while I’ll stick with the real ones, both the those that specify actual stances on issues as well as results of ballot initiative. (Guess what the most “pro-life” state voted TWICE in a row to uphold? lol 😉 )

I’ve done all I can Steve. You’re so quick to jump and accuse any poll you don’t like as being nonsense, like Clinton’s popularity, but when you come across a poll that shows people naming themselves conservative you hit the roof with joy.

Allow me to predict your next response and my next response after that:

You: “Ha! Are you joking? Clinton couldn’t even win a majority!”

Me:”So you admit that polls are unreliable and that therefore your “conservative” poll is bogus?

You:”Uh…I..uh…. CONSERVATIVE CONSERVATIVE CONSERVATIVE RONALD REAGAN SARAH PALIN FOREVERRRRRR!!!”

  25. “Remember that time I told you Clinton had the highest end-of-office approval rating ever and all you could do was pout and deny it? Lol that was priceless”

It just didn’t wash. Saying that a majority of the people loved Clinton like Elvis after he could not get 50% of the vote in either election and after molesting the White House help and leaving semen-stained Kleenex around for the stewards to pick up. I simply don’t buy it based on common sense….

“Nice dodge of the subject though! Keep clinging onto your “polls” while I’ll stick with the real ones”

I quoted Gallup! Have you ever heard of the Gallup? Not only was the poll done ONCE this year, but twice. It also makes sense…

America have their trust to a man who made a boat load of promises who has not lived up to one of them, yet. I really don’t understand why progressives like you spend your time hollering at me while your guy is in DC making a fool out of his base right now.

My poll, Tom, was taken twice this year and it has been taken in previous years. Read it yourself….

By the way, I used Gallup. What poll are you citing in the case of Bill Clinton?

  26. Plus, I would like to point out one massive difference. Bill Clinton basically signed everything sent to him by Newt Gingrich.

We had a Republican Congress for most of his Presidency. No healthcare got passed, and Bill Clinton signed welfare reform….developed by Republicans in Congress and something he continues to champion as his accomplishment.

If you erase the fact that Clinton was a horny sleazedog, you have yourself a perfect example of a centrist Democrat. So, if he did have high approval ratings, it was not because of his love for partial-birth abortion….it was because he governed as a centrist with Republicans developing the legislation he signed so a lot of his years.

Obama along with a Congress headed by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid is a MUCH different story…

In fact, can we get Bill Clinton back?

  27. Ahem…one more thing….in 1994, many Republicans were actually conservative. This trend of Republicans voting like liberals was not around as much.

Sorry Tom, facts are facts and if I were you, I’d start developing my own love of conservatism. Otherwise, you’re going to be lonely.

  28. “It just didn’t wash. Saying that a majority of the people loved Clinton like Elvis after he could not get 50% of the vote in either election and after molesting the White House help and leaving semen-stained Kleenex around for the stewards to pick up. I simply don’t buy it based on common sense….”

HOLY SHIT DID YOU ACTUALLY READ MY MESSAGE BECAUSE I LITERALLY PREDICTED THAT YOU WOULD SAY JUST THAT!!!! LMFAO THIS IS SO FUCKING PRICELESS!!!!!!!

    Remember this? :

“Allow me to predict your next response and my next response after that:

You: “Ha! Are you joking? Clinton couldn’t even win a majority!”

Me:”So you admit that polls are unreliable and that therefore your “conservative” poll is bogus?

You:”Uh…I..uh…. CONSERVATIVE CONSERVATIVE CONSERVATIVE RONALD REAGAN SARAH PALIN FOREVERRRRRR!!!””

Once again Steve, your immaturity and pouting is barely deserving of a response. Nothing is ever “logical” to the right-wing Sean Hannity-listener unless it comforts them. Well you know what Steve? Sometimes you have to accept discomforting things. That you’re in your thirties and still suffer from this immaturity of reality is quite alarming.

Pout and stomp your feet until your face is red Steve but reality does not bend to your right-wing wishes no matter how many times you write it.

In turn, Bill Clinton was popular, Bush was the least popular in American history. Accept it.

Progressive? I’m a libertarian. I just can’t stand you right-wing children who are so ridiculous they can’t even bother to add “ic” after “Democrat”, not even the smarter ones like you.

Your second message contradicts your first and I don’t know why you’re showing me the same poll a second time as if it debunks my point. Go to pollingreport.com and see on the right how the OVERWHELMING majority of Americans support the public option, meaning some of these “conservatives” aren’t exactly what you think lol.

I can send you a dozen links or you can just go to the site yourself and find out what “conservatives” believe in issue by issue.

No Steve, you can keep saying it makes sense if it gives you comfort, but that doesn’t work on me because I think with reality and not with what I WANT to believe.

What’s “logical” is that your adorable “poll” is bogus because it’s just a matter of self-labeling whereas specific polls show these “conservatives” are “loony liberal socialist ‘progressives'”, as you would say 😉

I am still perplexed that you don’t even have the maturity to accept something you don’t like. Are you really so insecure that you’ll just invent your own reality in which Bill Clinton is unpopular? Get over it Steve because it’s just sad. Your justifiably angry because of the failure of your own president who made himself the most hated in history and all you have left is denying the truth. Go ahead, but it won’t do you much good….

So Steve, are you going to make me fall out of my chair by once again repeating an argument that I PREDICTED you were going to make? Why don’t we test that theory…

You: Oh Tom, you actually think this country ISN’T conservative? LOL Everyone knows that what Ann Coulter writes in her books is the true! Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go practice saying “progressive” condescendingly in the mirror. CONSERVATIVE RONALD REAGAN THE GREAT SARAH PALIN HILLARYCARE LOONY LEFT!!!!!

  29. “HOLY SHIT DID YOU ACTUALLY READ MY MESSAGE BECAUSE I LITERALLY PREDICTED THAT YOU WOULD SAY JUST THAT!!!! LMFAO THIS IS SO FUCKING PRICELESS!!!!!!!”

It’s because we’ve had this discussion 80 times. I keep using the FACTS to refute it which annoy you, understandably so.

“Once again Steve, your immaturity and pouting is barely deserving of a response.”

Yet, you cannot manage to refrain from crying about a poll from a reliable source – Gallup – which tells you that the idea of the majority of this country being progressive-liberal is poop. I’m not asking for a response, in fact – I’d like you to stop screaming so loud because everything I have always stood for just happens to be more popular with Americans.

“Pout and stomp your feet until your face is red Steve but reality does not bend to your right-wing wishes no matter how many times you write it.”

LMAO, well it certainly isn’t a referendum on flag burning and late-term abortion.

“In turn, Bill Clinton was popular, Bush was the least popular in American history. Accept it”

Wrong, Jimmy Carter was the least popular in history – and Obama is surpassing him faster. Polls, Tom, Polls! The most fastly declining President since 1953! Not Bush, not Reagan, but Obama. 🙂

“I can send you a dozen links or you can just go to the site yourself and find out what “conservatives” believe in issue by issue.”

Here is the summary: smaller government, smaller taxes abroad, and more individual freedom. You can burn a flag on private property and I can display a manger. Love, life, and adversity under one country, under God. 🙂

“I am still perplexed that you don’t even have the maturity to accept something you don’t like.”

Okay, less Jolt cola, Tom. You’re seriously beginning to sound like a teenager who hates his very reasonable and calm parents who aren’t giving him what he wants.

Just re-read your last paragraph to yourself – that is, after you wake up from your nap. 🙂

  30. The source of the poll doesn’t matter. The poll in itself is a joke and you know it.

You can take pleasure in Americans calling themselves “conservative” if you want but you’d be disappointed to find any of those “conservatives” belonging to the tent of Romney/Limbaugh/Hannity.

Like I said, 57% support the public option, 73% support Roe v Wade(even the “pro-life majority!” lol) and Bush had the lowest approval ratings ever.

    Pout all you want.

“Here is the summary: smaller government, smaller taxes abroad, and more individual freedom.”

LOL you just exemplified exactly why I can’t take the goofy GOP seriously anymore. Once again, you’re not saying anything Steve, just reiterating bumper stickers. I doubt “Small government” gits with your obsession with banning flag-burning or controlling what women do with their own bodies. Your party is so buried in contradicting labels that not even YOU know what you stand for lol

I find it hilarious that whenever I cite a REAL, specifically-worded poll such as “looking back, do you think it was a good idea to go to war with Iraq?” You’re the first to jump and call out “phony” polls that are worded to get what the pollster wants, and yet when a poll is so ridiculous as to simply ask how people NAME themselves, you jump for joy that they chose the media-diefied word! And only 40% at that!

Life must be tough for you Steve, having to contend with a President who remains the most popular politician in the world, whose approval rating is going up, and whose fundraising ability outmatched the RNC. Stick to your little “polls” for comfort, whereas I’ll be looking to the polls that ask about issues and not which word people thinks sound better after decades of right-wing molding lol

Btw, didn’t you always used to say regarding the polls during the Bush years “I’ll pay attention to the REAL polls, the voting results!”

Lol Poor Steve! I’ll let you change the subject to flag-burning again, just as a little treat 😉

  31. “The source of the poll doesn’t matter. The poll in itself is a joke and you know it.”

You only think its a joke because its something you disagree with.

“You can take pleasure in Americans calling themselves “conservative” if you want but you’d be disappointed to find any of those “conservatives” belonging to the tent of Romney/Limbaugh/Hannity.”

Right, well perhaps if Hannity or Limbaugh had as many listeners as Air America or viewers as Olbermann, oh wait, I can totally see how that assumption of yours is based on sheer fact and not on trick polling questions, LOL.

“Like I said, 57% support the public option”

Only when asked straight-forward questions like: “would you support a public option to avoid a record number of deaths among blacks in 2010?” LOL.

If I were you, I wouldn’t let your libertarian friends know that you are supporting that poll, Tom. Should I remind you of the definition of the word?

    “73% support Roe v Wade”

Well, yes the majority of Americans are pro-life as you mentioned. However; half of them always give the answer “myself personally am pro-life, but I wouldn’t want it taken away for others who want to use it.” It is possible to be pro-life and simply fight for fewer abortions to take place as opposed to striking down a law sending a few desperate folks back to the allies and the coat hangers. This result, Tom (that you don’t give credible sources to either one) is hardly a cry for more Obama liberalism.

“Bush had the lowest approval ratings ever.”

No, Jimmy Carter did. Funnily enough though, because Bush was so unpopular – especially supporting a bailout with John McCain, you just explained why a liberal won in 2008. Again, it’s only when Republicans act like liberals.

“I doubt “Small government” gits with your obsession with banning flag-burning or controlling what women do with their own bodies.”

I don’t support banning flag burning. You simply cannot burn them in public because A.) it is a fire hazard to public safety and B.) not only liberals get to decide what happens in public streets. Burn them at home if you have the money and time. And I totally support women doing what they want with their bodies, but again – there is nothing wrong with working to promote fewer abortions and creating legislation that puts just as much emphasis on the word “responsibility” as it does to the word “right.”

If you notice, only one of us are being sensible here. You’re the one whose head is exploding, Tom. Your world – as you thought it was – is crumbling around you quicker than Obambi’s approval ratings are falling.

You’re taking it too personal! Don’t! I am not doing anything to you. It is he; himself, who isn’t living up to the promises he made.

Take that personal anger and direct it where it belongs. Yelling at me is not going to make you feel any better.

    “And only 40% at that!”

Which was double the amount of “liberals” – keep up!

“Life must be tough for you Steve, having to contend with a President who remains the most popular politician in the world”

Actually, why don’t you read this:

“Barack Obama averaged 52.9% approval in his third quarter in office, down sharply from a 62% average in his second. That is the largest drop between those quarters for an elected president since 1953, and one of the largest quarter-to-quarter drops for any first-year president.”

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/123806/Obama-Quarterly-Approval-Average-Slips-Nine-Points.aspx

Yes, he’s popular alright, popular at being a dunce!

At least MY President had the sack to make ME happy with keeping us safe, keeping taxes low, keeping unemployment at 5%.

Yours won’t even enrage his opposition like mine did!

Poor Tom, being sold out cannot feel good. The truth is, you thought an Obama presidency was going to be fun because you thought I was going to spend it being angry. Simply not true….I am pleased at Obama’s private promise to do nothing to make you feel better while the country around us goes to hell because he isn’t smart enough to move with public opinion.

2010 is going to be lots of fun, little buddy. 🙂

  32. No, it’s a joke bc of the reasons I mentioned.

Lol I still can’t believe you guys base your view of America off of TELEVISION AND RADIO RATINGS HAHA! More Republicans sit on the couch doing nothing with their lives. Notice the difference between the anti-Obama protestors and the anti-Bush protestors? I’d say it’s about 50-70 pounds lol

I never said I supported the public option. You dont’ know what I believe Steve 🙂

“At least MY President had the sack to make ME happy with keeping us safe, keeping taxes low, keeping unemployment at 5%.”

Yea, the worst terrorist attack in US history is “safe” lol.

“Yours won’t even enrage his opposition like mine did! ”

Are you joking? At least liberals waiting until Bush started two wars before ridiculously comparing him to Hitler. You guys started doing that shit before he was even ELECTED HAHAHA Not to mention the bajillion rage-fueled right-wing books against him. Republicans were angry enough to make all of them bestsellers!

And once again, you’re just throwing around the word “responsibility” to make it sound like you have something to say.

Glad we can agree on abortion. I don’t oppose private initiatives to dissuade women from having them. This makes me in touch with the majority and not with the wacky Coulter/Hannity base who actually want to outlaw it. Why haven’t you ever responded to my citing of South Dakota’s twice upholding abortion by landslides? I’d think you’d have something to say about that, in addition to CO doing the same with over 70% of the vote and CA voting down 3 consecutive attempts to restrict underage abortions(I sense a subject change lol)

Sure, you’re “enjoying” the Obama presidency just like Limbaugh “enjoyed” his weight gain LOL

Your anger is already showing Steve. You should be more careful to hide your feelings 😉

Oh, and Obama started with record approval ratings.

One more thing, Bush had the lowest approval ratings. Pout all ya want buddy 😉

  33. “Notice the difference between the anti-Obama protestors and the anti-Bush protestors?”

I already have. When Cindy Sheehan protested with about 100 people in Crawford, the media reported it day-after-day-after-day. Then Cindy turned on the Democrats after they won the majority in 2006, your same crowd referred to her as an “attention whore.”

THEN, Cindy Sheehan protested Obama while he was on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard. To which the media never covered it once but for Charlie Gibson of ABC telling Cindy “enough is enough!” In other words, liberals and the media only care about protests when its for things like illegal immigration, or anti-Bush (anything fill in the blank).

Moreover; the tea parties have brought in MUCH MORE actual noise and warm bodies than Sheehan’s anti-war protests did.

Republicans are at work, Tom. It’s the Democrats in bed with CEO’s like Obama who takes all of their contributions and turns on them after getting elected. You know, there’s nothing funnier than watching a libby get mad when I show no sympathy to Wall Street CEO’s whose wages have been cut. Hello! It’s just one less massive campaign contribution to a liberal. 🙂

“I never said I supported the public option. You dont’ know what I believe Steve”

Well don’t cite stupid polls for the sheer purposes of getting a response out of ME. It comes across as something you are supporting.

“This makes me in touch with the majority and not with the wacky Coulter/Hannity base who actually want to outlaw it.”

Give me one quote from Coulter or Hannity that says they want to outlaw abortion. The question answerable among liberal bright-bulbs is always: “if what a conservative says is so bad, then why can’t a liberal accurately quote them?”

“Oh, and Obama started with record approval ratings.”

I don’t care what he started with! Bush in October of his first year had an approval rating of 88% versus Obama’s 50%.

And the lie about Bush causing 9/11 proves your ignorance to history and your need to scrape the bottom of the pudding cup now for desperate comebacks.

It’s like when Cher went on her farewell tour and it lasted five years…..learn something from that, Tom.

  34. We discussed this in great length already. And if I recall correctly, as well as all of my facebook friends, you were the one who left the discussion angry. 😉
