The Witch Shoots Her Mouth

This one got me.  Helen Thomas, a reporter for Hearst, really shot her mouth off this time.  She is a veteran reporter and an overt liberal.  She attacks Republicans and coddles Democrats.  And her true colors showed through last week (along with her senility).

Veteran White House reporter Helen Thomas has issued an apology after saying in an interview that Jews should “get the hell out of Palestine.”

Thomas, a longtime White House correspondent who now writes a column for Hearst newspapers, made the comments May 27 after a White House Jewish heritage event.

Asked by Rabbi David Nesenoff of if she had “any comments on Israel,” Thomas replied, “Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine.”

Thomas went on to say that the Palestinian people “are occupied and it’s their land” and that Israelis should “go home” — to Poland, Germany, America “and everywhere else.”

In a written statement issued Friday, Thomas apologized, saying, “I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians.”

She said the comments “do not reflect” her “heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance.”

“May that day come soon,” she added.

Why bother to apologize?  She said what she had to say.  Does the apology make it all disappear?  Her true anti-Semitic feelings were revealed.  In fact, she echoes the anti-Israel sentiments of most of the mainstream media.  Israeli soldiers act in self-defense, and the world goes nuts.  I’m convinced that there is seriously a global conspiracy against Israel.  And why not?  You have idiots like Thomas who are purported to be objective journalists – and they’re creating the news.  Based on Thomas’ remarks, you can see where the sentiments lie.  I just don’t understand sometimes.

  1. Well said.

I’m glad that all of these people are finally exposing their true beliefs and feelings.

Now we can quit paying them any attention while we work to get in a new press and new representatives in government.

Congrats on being part of the new press.

  2. People think that being the “underdog” makes a cause automatically the right one. Because people are idiots sometimes.

Thomas obviously swallowed that one hook, line, and sinker.

And I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that anyone who purports to support any sort of gay rights – most especially the right to live a “regular” life, unmolested because of one’s sexual preference – has no business supporting the Palestinian cause in any way, shape, or form lest they be hypocrites of the first order.

But we all knew Helen Thomas was right up there in Hypocrite Land already, didn’t we?

  3. Philip, well-said. I wanted to post but was busy with other stuff. There’s a part of me that still can’t believe Helen Thomas said that, but at the same time I remember that Thomas is not unlike any other MSM talking heads or Hollywood blowhards; they think their worldview is the only correct one to have. If you don’t share it then shame on you.

AFW, I wholeheartedly agree with you. There is a group called “Queers for Palestine” in the San Francisco Bay Area that apparently doesn’t understand the enormous hatred that Muslims in Arab lands have for American homosexuals. There’s a reason why Iranian dictator Ahmadinejad said that there is no such thing as gay people in Iran.

The ones that haven’t run away have been executed.

  4. “…apparently doesn’t understand the enormous hatred that Muslims in Arab lands have…”

This is because liberals do not understand that American “intolerance” is completely different from Middle Eastern intolerance. Liberals actually think they are the same thing and do not see a difference. That part just boggles my mind.

  5. Thomas replied, “Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine.”

Oh that remark makes me chuckle. When Israel was created in 1948, what happend to Jews living in places such as Yemen, Tunisia, Libya and other nations? They were expelled. Never mind they lived in these countries for centuries. Never mind they were an integral part of the economy, culture, and overall progress of these lands. Any chances of these nations had becoming first world rated places went out the window with this expulsion.
